Calif 41 is now a 3+ lead for Republicans at 74% in. I don't want to jinx it but I think this is our sixth seat.

Also, to be clear I don't think the country is heading in the right direction. I just think things are going to have to figure themselves out on their own time. The truth is we're powerless to really do anything about all of this so there is no point about worrying what might happen. Focus on the now, keep your expectations low.

Edit: For what it's worth, I don't see McCarthy being very happy about being denied House majority leader. He's uniparty as fuck, so I wouldn't be surprised if a deal was struck to give Republicans the House inexchange for the Senate.

Republicans actually just flipped another seat to likely Republican. Currently there are 10 seats that lean Republican. They only need six to take the Senate. Calif 27, Calif 45, Ny 22, Colo 3, are already pretty much Republican pick ups. AZ 6 is likely, which means we only need 1 more for House control. Given that we're in the mail-in ballot stage and the Republican lead is increasing, I'd say it is almost certain we take the House.

I agree it's still unlikely Lake takes the governship though.

Got a timestamp for that data? What I'm looking at his most of the California districts much closer, in the 1-3k range with a long way to count.

Being in the lead doesn't mean fuck all till around the 90% mark, and nothing is flipped or even really predictable due to how mail in voting works and how shit is counted and reported.

They could do that. They would find the rest of the states National Guard rapidly descending on them though, possibly the Navy or other Federal military branches that are exempt from posse comitatus as well, but realistically posse comitatus would be suspended by Congress.

The only way the "fuck off" thing works, at the end of the day, is if there's a significant amount of the states that tell the feds to fuck up. At least 1/3 to 1/2. Anything less than that and the Feds win.

Yes. And? Nothing will really change until things get so bad there is a noticeable decrease in the quality of life for most Americans. You might be terminally online so you don't know this, but if you go outside and go to a park the birds are still chirping and parents are playing with their kids. Prices are a bit high but not so bad that most Americans can't afford their luxuries. Red states are still peaceful and we have our guns and all that good shit.

Things aren't bad yet. The angst from all of you is fear and anticipation of things going bad. The one thing I know for certain is fearing what's going to happen isn't going to make it easier or prevent it from happening. Also bro, be the change you want to see. It is very easy to yell at people on the internet and tell them to go out and risk it all for what right now seems marginal gain. If you want to throw it all away, be my guest. DeSanctimonious didn't do it himself, and Lake won't be able to fix it solo either. Finchem losing SOS to democrat party creature Fontes makes it an uphill battle, it becomes doubly difficult if Abe doesn't win AG. As of right now, the AZ state senate is still majority republican. Without all three it will be an uphill battle. It really doesn't help that outgoing Governor Ducey and AG Brnovich are uniparty RINO scumbags and allowed this situation to get where it is, because it also benefited them. It's so bad that Lake has been reaching out to former Gov Jan Brewer's people for advice.

That's the thing, you have the power to change things in the present, BEFORE shit hits the fan. And you can do it peacefully, but not through voting MAGApedes. You have to lift people that are intelligent and properly reactionary, and understand the importance of being the largest empire on this planet's history.

Realistically first the government federalizes the state's NG (like during the Civil Rights era) but that involves state-level political appointee generals (some of them are hilariously bad BTW, check the generals from the Maryland NG who organized the DC occupation in 2021). It's entirely possible the NG tells the feds to fuck off, like Oklahoma's NG at one point did over the vaxx mandate.

If it ever got to the point the government summoned another state's NG to suppress a state telling them to fuckoff, then that's literally Civil War 2.0 because the federalized NG and the civilian politicians they are supporting would be rebelling against the lawful government. Unfortunately, I don't think the average politician has the balls to play that game or even do brinkmanship on it. Which is a shame, because there's a long American tradition of doing so and even Eurofags aren't afraid to try (remember when Catalonia tried to declare independence?)

We are like a purple state or two away from a Constitutional Conventional being called where red states would have a huge say in rewriting the Constitution. That's how many red states there are.

There's also federal funding for things that could actually matter for the people. Telling the feds to pound sand is a great way for that funding to dry up real quick.

And then people romanticize that the veterans drinking in the bar with their AR15s and the hunters with ther and hunting bows and Jeep Grand Cherokees will be able to take on and defeat the mighty federal government and their billions dollar budget and arms because the Taliban and and Viet Cong were able to do it. And then people think all the MAGA folks will form IRA style paramilitaries possibly filled with military folks who fucked off from the military because they hate how pozzed things have become and have no reservations about throwing away potential benefits in the name of going rogue and becoming an Enemy Of The State.

Everyone wants a civil war until they're in one.
 
I just realized that given many of the people who lost were all very good MAGA candidates, this pretty much kills the movement since it can't win a single important election. The amount of name recognition these candidates received because they faced these contentious elections is huge, I mean IIRC DeSantis had the same thing in 2018 when he won a narrow election. This keeps it geographically restricted to red states and to my knowledge a bunch of those politicians are DeSantis types who care more about gaining power than any actual belief in what they're doing. You usually see a lot of the same Conservative Inc groups like the AEI behind them.

If the majority of a single red state's NG mutinied, than that's a fuckton of equipment gone right there. Don't forget the gaping hole in supply lines. Texas? That's a fuckton of oil/natural gas gone. Tennessee? Huge logistics corridor. Florida? Phosphate/fertilizer shortage (remember the fertilizer shortage because Ukraine/Russia produce a fuckton of the world's supply?)

I don't want a civil war, but I think it's strange the same GOP politicians who even right now are playing nuclear brinkmanship with Russia are too afraid to try the same sort of brinkmanship at home against the federal government.
