They should have collapsed years ago. Donald Trump saved them from total and utter irrelevance. They should be kissing his ass, instead they try to thwart him at every available opportunity
 
Like it or not, congressional elections are about two things:
  1. The ability of your guy to bring home federal spending to your state
  2. Your party's agenda.
Now, what was the GOP's agenda for the midterms? I'm pretty plugged into the party's politics, and I don't even know. About all I could see the party actually uniting on was unlimited funding for the Ukraine war, and that's hardly an election-winner. The Democrats won in 2018 on Fighting Fascism™, but the Republicans couldn't even identify a thing about the Biden administration they actually want to fight. This is largely because they spent the last four years fighting Trump, not the Democrats. Consider the major issues:
  1. Endless war. Republicans support more war.

  2. Inflation. Today's inflation is the fallout of decades of reckless policy, from the '08 bailout to the '20 lockdowns. The most immediate causes are the shortages in fuel and damage to the global economy caused by the trade war against Russia, which Republicans support, and the COVID-19 lockdowns, which few Republicans opposed. Consequently, the GOP can't have a message on inflation.

  3. Biden's bribes. When the Hunter revelations came out, the GOP decided shut up, step back, and let the Democrats squash them. Anything was worth it to get control of the party back. Since the Republicans decided Biden corruption wasn't an issue in 2020, they can't say anything now. Besides, a lot of ranking Republicans are filthy with foreign bribes, including and especially Mitch McConnell.

  4. The economy. The economy sucks. But you know why it sucks? A combination of high inflation, offshoring industry, mass immigration, exploding welfare, an aging population, unfunded entitlements, and the collapse of the American family, which are all things Republicans at worst support, and at best don't have any message or policy response for. The problem isn't high taxes, so tax cuts won't solve it.

  5. The troon groomer menace. Once again, the GOP was gearing up to betray its voters. They ran a strategy of having deep red governors (Hutchison, Noem, Abbott) cuck out to dispirit the base, get everyone to shut up about it, and take the issue off the table. Unfortunately for the GOP leadership, who insisted this wasn't a hill to die on, protecting your kids from pedophiles is in fact a hill most parents will die on. But the consequence is once again, this wasn't anything the GOP could message going into the midterms. Besides, lots of Republicans politicians secretly support troon everything because they're pedophiles.

  6. Election fraud. The GOP decided not to fight election fraud because letting it happen would rid them of Trump. They figured the Democrats wouldn't dare do it twice!
They didn't have a message because they can't have a message. Everything they could have run on, they took off the table in order to sabotage Trump and throw the 2020 election. They're a worthless party that deserves to be destroyed.
 
The Republican Party is learning what the Democratic Party is starting to learn: very loud, terminally online autists are not the way to gauge what voters want.

Idk about him being a closet RINO but lmao no we already know about that pathetic attempt by the left to try and make accusations.
The students in question were over 18 and so far it's just been a few people claiming he was present at a party where there were adults over 18 drinking.

If that's the worst the Dems have been able to dig up on him that either lends credence to him being a plant or just shows how mind numbingly fucking desperate and stupid they are when it comes to Florida.

"Probably" lmao we're back to 2020 with Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia turning Election Day into Election Week so the Democrats can discover enough ballots to push them over the finish line. If you lived in one of those states (or Pennsylvania where the election was also stolen again), it wouldn't matter who you voted for. They'll just find another dead guy or someone who doesn't even live there to add 1 to the vote tally. Republicans losing in these purple states isn't surprising at all since they NEED these states to not fix their elections like Florida, Missouri, or Ohio (which you know, used to be key swing states) so they can steal the 2024 election.

It's really funny how you were totally BTFO in your predictions and I was absolutely right about everything, from the youth turnout to the important issues of this election to the actual result being Republicans winning the House by single-digit margins. Best of all, you can't even blame the election fraud on the results since you believe it doesn't exist and all these mysterious ballots that keep popping up in Arizona and Nevada aren't real. Wouldn't be surprised if they popped up in other places too like Colorado, Oregon, and California given that's where most of the contested House seats are at (and god forbid they ever let a Republican be governor of Oregon).

Not too shabby! Repubs might have lost Pennsylvania, but at least they get a nice runner-up prize. This'll probably mean Vegas and Reno are gonna reap economic goodness and clean up their future elections (hopefully.)

Now we just need Lake to clinch Arizona and have a nice red buffer from the blueness of the West Coast.
