That shouldn't have mattered.

If we weren't fucked as a culture Fetterman would get zero election day votes. The man seems incapable of basic speech or thought processes, Pennsylvanians elected the human Version of a McRib. At this point I am not sure Americans are actually capable of "ruling themselves" because they can't meet the low low bar of hiring someone sentient to represent their interests.
I was for a moment about to disagree simply because I'm sure Left wing voters backed Fetterman simply because vote-blue-no-matter-who mentality but that doesn't explain or make up anyone else that voted for Fetterman. So yeah, apparently there are certainly enough people out there that believe not being able to actually communicate is not a disqualifying factor when running for office.

Tch, I'm now reminded of some douchebag poster I was arguing with here who whined about how the public at large isn't that stupid. Wonder how that dumbass feels now.

Edit : ...yeah, Pennsylvanians apparently are a special case : https://www.theblaze.com/news/tony-deluca-wins-reelection-2022

Well, the fix was already in in Pennsylvania. There was that whole story about the 250,000 ballots sent to unconfirmed addresses which was all the Democrats needed to fix the election.
and the GOP has had 2 years to fix that nigger shit.

Why bother to get off the sofa to cast a vote when you get exactly the same thing no matter which one you vote for and you know

Because

You've got two candidates who are exactly the same politically, except one's (legally) braindead
This, This is a clear choice. The Residents of PA don't care about who represents them. When given the choice between someone with Human Intelligence and Someone with Sub Human Intelligence PA just doesn't give a rats ass. Might as well fucking put up a Corgi for the Dems in 6 years because the Voters of PA are such sheep they will either just stay home or vote for the dog.

Giving Zoomers the right to vote was a mistake
Giving humanity the right to vote was a mistake.

It was a really bad endorsement, there's no denying that. But who really deserves the blame is McConnell for successfully conspiring to destroy Parnell
He tried to endorse and push some woman here in TN, Mortaga (something) voters said NOPE as did the State, new laws stopped her.
Trump needs to just shut up, on many things. and he shouldn't run in 24, just too damn old.

Older Texas millennial, and it seems that a lot of millennials as a whole (usually the younger ones) have an extremely authoritarian view of the world and how it should be run - and that's terrifying to me. I don't know what the fuck happened.
Boomers happened, may they all rest in piss. Not so much for doing what they were manipulated to do as denying to the very last breath that they did anything wrong and owe anything to the future. Their attitude, served to them on a platter from Hollywood, the smug, live and let live, individualist where the coolest thing to do is pretend the plentiful fruit had nothing to do with their success. It was hard work going in to debt buying that fertilizer that won them the right to pass that debt on to the future. Never mind that half the fields have already been seized by debt collectors. But you see it most when they are compelled to a prideful proclamation (learned again from their television screens) that they will leave nothing to the next generation, as a last bout of their delusions of grandeur afforded to them by their usurious masters.

You can't help but look at that and conclude these people were given "freedom" to be seduced in to selling off the country to international interests. So free have they been they are incapable of recognizing their own faults. You see how much a joke "freedom" actually is and you come to see that people are most free when they are compelled to maintain the collective sovereignty which is the only thing that can protect each person's limited capacity for sustainable self-determination.

Giving humanity the right to vote was a mistake.
You make it sound like PA will only change once the GOP and MAGA choose violence.

The pro-life movement (of which I am an atheist member) has failed. We need to work alot harder to make the argument for life.
You won't win that argument, because what you are really arguing for is personal responsibility and accountability. No one wants to be responsible for their own life or actions anymore.

I think overturning Roe vs Wade fucked the GOP. More people were probably convinced of a red wave while abortionists were climbing out to vote blue, it’s why a lot of anti abortion measures failed in red states

I personally believe if the abortion crowd want to sacrifice the economy for dead nigger and illegal babies, then so be it.

They were also triggered hard by the Bruen decision as well, not to the same degree but those loons remain as well.

Plus looking at the demographics of the typical abortion voter, there is nothing to convince them to vote GOP.

A lot of trigger laws in red states passed with little resistance, but there was the Kansas ballot proposition, which was heavily funded by outside dollars from California and New York for the abortion side.

Overall I think SCOTUS did the right wing in regards to Roe v. Wade.

Now we are in a new situation where state and local elections matter as much as federal elections as well.

Also Ballot measure 114 in Oregon is currently 50/50 but it seems like the No side might win by a small margin looking at how it keeps catching up to yes.

Trump stumping for everyone in the last week was a bad call. Saw quite a few exit polls on broadcasts last night mentioning that voting against Trump was a deciding factor. With Gen Z seemingly being a big factor in D performance and how much the Gen Z Dems hate him, I wouldn't have been shocked to see more Red wins if he hadn't come out last week.

Woods is right. It is DeSantis's time. I get the feeling the Dems and the establishment were doing a lot to sabotage Trumps chosen candidates in order to make it appear that Trump is no longer popular with the people and that his endorsement has no more weight to it. The establishment hates Trump as he was a political outsider but DeSantis, despite a lot of good he has done to curb the tranny menace, is a political insider and will probably be more palpable for the establishment to shallow.
I thought the issue was that DeSantis was better for the establishment because he’s the type that can be turned into a pawn when he goes into federal politics. Also, MAGA folks think that there’s a scheme to divide them between Don and Ron so the Democrats can keep the WH.
The simple truth is I feel this election has cemented the cold civil war theory. I doubt there was much chicanery. People think this because it seems incomprehensible that anyone would vote for the ruling party given its track record of the last few years. Or that they would literally elect a man for Senate who has done absolutely nothing in his life and can't even speak a coherent sentence.

Sad truth is governing fundentals no longer matter. It's all about who supports the tribe of the voters in question. Worse, those tribal lines are now politically delineated along state lines to the point the winner can be declared before a single vote is tabulated.

This will not end well in the long run. But I see no way to stop the March of history. America's leadership class is completely out of touch, and high on its own farts.
So what next, genius?

fetterman is going to be the funniest thing in the government if they let him in front of cameras again.
Well, they let Biden in front of camera. And it ain’t like we got Soviet era state television.

Hey it doesn't sound so bad. I'm honestly at the point where I'm rooting for the collapse of the dollar so these people have to vote in their interests again instead of for the historical oligarch's affiliation.
I’m not sure how that collapse will happen.

Firstly there's no way the Potato actually serves. Shapiro's already cutting deals to appoint his replacement. Secondly, someone else here said it best but a mentally incompetent enemy is much better than a mentally competent traitor. Dr Oz would have been the Mitt Romney of PA. Better Fetterman to be the Joe Biden of PA

The bad news from Wheatistan: Laura Kelly is projected to remain governor. The good news? Kris Kobach's career is back from the dead, and I'm confident he will be a very based attorney general.

So when do we hear about the replacing? If it’s like Biden, it may be a timing issue.

Trump's the only thing motivating a lot of these Republicans to vote. He stumped for the Floridians too and they won massively. If anything this election just shows that Ron DeSantis is the only Republican other than Trump who has any genuine enthusiasm behind him. If Trump were on the ballot he would have dragged a lot of these mediocre Republicans over the line, as he did in '20

I doubt Fetterman will even be sworn in
