I'm closer to the doomers ITT. The party out of power always gains in the midterms, so that was priced in. The Senate was in play, and the Dems have fucked the dog so badly the last two years and are almost all signed on to the most insane tranny and race shit that the GOP should've taken it back handily. Add to that that the math looked good for the Senate, and this is a disappointing outcome.

Because even if Oz does things I disagree with he can at least debate his positions, it is less about Dr Oz and more about the fact that Pennsylvanians care so little that they will just throw a hunk of meat into the seat cause they don't care at all.

Older Texas millennial, and it seems that a lot of millennials as a whole (usually the younger ones) have an extremely authoritarian view of the world and how it should be run - and that's terrifying to me. I don't know what the fuck happened.

They lived through the globalist arseholes and third wayists, where the ideological differences on the left largely faded across a large portion of the Western World and conservatives compromised too much into the thrid wayist nonsense. Both parties have yet to recover, and the third way mentality is hanging around with its dead stench when normally an ideology has a shelf life of about 20-30 years.

Now, they're using the rights shit to pit people against each other where they can, but it won't hold for too long when the enhancers (such as all the bots on social media) are cut off at the knees. The actual influence of these people collapses very very quickly, meaning the political sides will once again try and scramble to recapture the wandering voters.

Simple reality is our whole political system has rotted from the head for a while and the obvious option to many is to call back to previous, more authortarian systems to clear out all the rot.
