I know a lot of Libertarians, and I used to be one. This is completely anecdotal, but I'm willing to bet enough of the people who voted for Oliver in Georgia will choose Walker over Warnock in the runoff.

It amuses me to no end that the party which loves to shout about how dangerous it is to even be able to publicly talk about the "wrong opinions" on issues, is also the one where it's not just acceptable but fashionable to talk about everyone who disagrees with you like such.. I mean even from a practical perspective.. If even a large fraction of your enemies so much as partially believe this is what you think.... Well let's put it this way.. If I thought someone was so delusional as to suspect me of intending to kill them or something, I'd be pretty likely to actually act in some way against them based solely on self preservation.

It's not about being happy that people are losing hope (about life,) it's about being happy that maybe some of them will get it in their head that there's really no political solution to this and that a good chunk of the people they share a country with are terminally retarded.

I find them more exhausting than anything. Endless screaming into the void gets tedious rather quick. It was so prevalent in early 2021 that I had to take a break from here to retain some sanity.

I mean these midterms are great it's a perfect salt mine. Sure it's not the 2016 salt mine but equal amounts of red and blue salt this time around balanced as things should be.

It's propaganda and when you go to college like Ethan Klein you end up surrounded in a left wing echo chamber due to your professors and students. So naturally you end up taking mean spirited dumb opinions that are left wing so you can fit in with your progressive friends. Usually those people once they have kids end up being more conservative again assuming they're not progressive wine mom.

Climate change could be an easy win for Republicans if they accepted that "well there's no harm in doing something about it" and then trashing all the green new deal bullshit with how solar panels, windmills, and electric cars aren't the solution and we need to get manufacturing back to the US because importing everything from China fucks emissions. But there's no room for that. Because Democrats believe the world will end by 2030 from climate change, the Republicans must believe climate change is a hoax so can't actually tear apart one of the sacred cows of the left.

Fuck, at this rate, forget dead people voting Democrat and start expecting dead Democrat politicians since tonight proves yet again that nearly half the country is retarded enough to elect literally anyone with a (D) next to their name. You get what I mean. That gives Republicans 49 meaning they need to take two of Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona to gain a majority in the Senate. It is likely they take at least one of these. So, worst case scenario is dems narrowly holding senate and republicans taking control of the House. This means gridlock for the next two years. Best case scenario, Republicans take the Senate 52-48, the House, and have control of the Supreme Court.

I'm pleased with these results, especially considering the fight Democrats have put up to even get this far.
