It's a mlld rep win, and I don't think it'll matter that much on the market. Stocks tend to react opposite initially of what their longterm benefits are anyway.
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure there will be another round with the top two candidates if the top candidate doesn't get 50%. They're using a ranked-choice system now.

I've had conversations with them and like many millennial people they think denying abortion is akin to living in the 1500s. Apparently thinking women like men should be responsible for their choices is antithetical to human rights.
These are the nigger cattle that vote for higher gas prices and property taxes then get enraged when only large mega corporations can afford to be in their state. Most of them don't work a job and are either too poor to think for themselves or are pozzed and believe denying trans kids the right to mutilate their genitalia is more worrying for democracy then telling people in America they're evil and racist and don't deserve an equal say.
The problem isn't gibs it's the fact that the cattle in America tend to be pozzed and want to vote the "right way" ie be considered good for voting for "centrist candidates".

Political parties generally and candidates specifically tailor a platform and campaign around courting enough voters to win. If there are routinely blow-outs, the losers will change to compensate and capture more of the electorate.

NGL, this has been a kind of blackpilling evening. You'd think the shit we've suffered these past two years would unify everyone into voting against the party in power for their gross incompetence and mismanagement. Instead, the result appears to have only been to get the two factions to dig in and solidify their control of "home turf." I'm usually not one to be a doomer, but if that isn't a sign of balkanization then I don't know what is.

In certain places there are of course going to be shenanigans and fraud, but if you were under the impression that we don’t live in a disturbingly divided country, you need to spend less time on /pol/ or where ever you got the idea that this would be an absolute blowout for either side. Elections within a point or two are not new.
