At this point, I don’t know how Toby would have even managed his original plan of releasing everything post-Chapter 1 all at once. So much of Deltarune relies on, or is at least enhanced by, per-chapter speculation.

With all that being said my schizo theory for the whole ending thing is this:
Toby due to the game being episodic expects everyone to immediately watch guides, etc, and do either "all pacifist", "weird", "all attacking"
So he'll make it so the Weird route, Spare route, and Attack route will all end the exact same fucking way.

Will be when you don't stick to any single run. (Like you probably would if you were playing the game blind for the first time not having researched anything beforehand.)

How did you beat Jevil? Are there any weapon/magic updgrades I'm not aware of?
I may be wrong, but I think fighting is easier than sparing in this case. Regardless of which route you’re doing, the only difference between sparing and fighting is some of the post-fight dialogue and what equippable item you get as a reward. Besides that, it’s what everyone else has said:
>Kris’s act follows a pattern so you can try only using it on turns where it would be beneficial
>bring healing items (I’d try to keep the Top Cake for later chapters but you do you)
>Choco Diamond is a good healing item for Kris but just okay for everyone else

Considering the fact that the game is about childhood trauma and escapism, I have considered this, and I would absolutely fucking hate it. There is nothing worse than the "none of it was real and none of it mattered lol" meme in story telling.

If Toby pulls a Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter ending I will kill him.

I won't go through that bullshit again.
Drawn To Life was a DS game where you, the player, are essentially God. You are the supreme being of he universe and the inhabitants of this fantasy world, who are called the Rapposa (who are these cute little furry creatures), pray to you to save them. You, the chad God that you are, decide to send your avatar to this world to save it from darkness. Very familiar sounding, I know.

The gimmick, because it was a DS game, was that you could draw stuff with the stilus and it would appear how you drew it. Items, platforms, your character, etc. It was all very stimulating to the autism. You also collect ink to restore color to the world and unlock maps and stages and progress the story.

So at the end of 1 you banish the darkness and beat the bad guys and save the day, and along the way you meet a human named Mike, who miraculously appeared in this world for seemingly no reason. He's just a random side character no different from a dozen other NPCs you have to save in the stages, so it just seems like a cool little easter egg. He has no role in the story and is given no more attention than a few lines of dialogue.
Then 2 came out.

In 2 it's more or less the same deal as 1. World is in danger, they pray to you for help, you send your avatar to save the day. It's all cool and good until the VERY end of the game.

So you know Mike the human from earlier? Yeah, so it turns out that he's in a coma and this is all his dream. His parents got into a car wreck and both died, his sister was severely injured, and he was sent into a coma. There were maybe 2 or 3 hints to this being the case in 2 and absolutely nothing in 1 to even suggest any of this whatsoever. It completely blindsides you.

Keep in mind both games were very colorful, cutesy goofy games up until this point, think... 16 bit Animal Crossing type shit. Then suddenly it drops a nuclear bomb directly onto your skull for no reason where it's all a delusion and peoples fuckin parents died and there's little boys in fatal comas and shit.

The game ends with him choosing between staying in the fantasy world and dying or waking up and forgetting everything. He chooses to wake up.

The end. Nothing you ever did and no one you ever met in two whole ass games were real or mattered. Fuck you.
