Incidentally, being anti mask in some fashion is probably the quirk that Uli shares with the most other people.

Actually in middle school I used to degrease my pizzas. I still do if it's extremely oily.

Apparently Uli's problem isn't that he won't wear a mask himself, it's that he can't stand looking at masks.

That's gotta be awkward.
Was he beaten up by a surgeon or something? Dude has the weirdest fears, like mirrors. Although I suppose he got over the mirror thing now that he's driving because now that would be awkward.

You need to think like an autist. Uli was afraid of blue water because in video games that would make them drown. Also in video games it is a common trope to sneak past the eyesight of guards (ex. OoT castle guards, MM Deku palace). So the autistic thinking is: if he can see himself, he's in danger.

Something I really like about Uli's personal page (now down) is that it really is a step into his mind. Uli city is part of a wave of personal sites from a long gone era of geocities and angelfire, whereas most people today are ok with a profile on a social media site, but his is really a personal site. It detailed so much of his life, including his about me and greatest wishes, that you could probably reconstruct his entire life and personality just from the site. And I find for someone to be that open to be fascinating.

Recently I came across the work of Jacolby Satterwhite who created this immersive 3d world as fantasies and as memory of his late mother. I can't find a good video on it but here's an idea of some of the video game inspired stuff he did

I am fascinated with virtual worlds and if I had the skills I would maybe create a virtual 3d world of my own to explore

I found a guy with Ulillillia like energy, I don't know if it's a shared accent and intonation or something.
This is just how programmers are.

It's usually linked to the multiple divorces and the alcohol fuel fits of writing algorithms because even when you want to kill yourself, you just can't because some retard fucked something up and you have to fix it. The internal rage and despair will temper the soul stronger than it was before and you will eventually shun more earthly delights.

It just sounds like Midwestern accent to me. Like if you listen to 8-bit Guy you can hear his Texan accent creep in in certain words.

Ulillillia is apparently struggling right now. He said he has to move out in 2 1/2 months and abandon his independence.

He set up a Patreon to support his new game, Baricanna.

This game is apparently much smaller than Platform Masters. He started the game in May and said the game is already 2/3 complete.

He probably should have set this up months ago. At the time of writing this, he is at $686 dollars, and he says that buys him maybe one more month.

If you'd like to support him but don't want to join Patreon, he said the best way to buy his books and make sure he gets the money is to buy through Lulu. I haven't read "Secret in the Basement", but "Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters" is a classic, if you're somehow in this thread and have never read it. It's absolutely hilarious and bizarre.

Thanks for the info. I might have to do something to support him as well, but I'm in the same boat: not jumping on the Patreon shit and signing up to do so--even for Uli.

damn. i might have to go ahead and buy both of his books to help him out a little, i'm not making a patreon account even for uli but i've legitimately been intending to read legend of the 10 elemental masters literally since it was released and just never got around to buying it.

anyone know if he gets less of a cut if i buy from amazon? it's stocked by amazon themselves, not a third party, and i currently have a prime free trial so could get free shipping unlike lulu but if he gets less of a cut from amazon i'll just pay the shipping

also i don't want to start a political debate but it's seriously crazy the supposed land of the free is still going so over the top about this stupid overblown virus, uli is far from the only person these draconian mandates are affecting in this sort of way. my country lifted all our domestic restrictions months ago, nobody wears masks any more—not even retail employees—and everything is going great. covid is over.

He says he makes $3 on the Amazon e-book as opposed to $8 on Lulu, and basically nothing on the Amazon print copy.

Ulillillia should go get an actual autism diagnosis and get a tugboat.

if i remember correctly he actually did go for an autism test at one point many years ago and they concluded that he doesn't have autism, but diagnosed him with incredibly severe OCD.

i don't know much about america's welfare system but does OCD not qualify him for it? not sure why he isn't getting welfare already; he's clearly disabled

OCD and Autism are very co-morbid conditions, the psychologist doing the assessment could have wrongly diagnosed Uli imo. My honest feelings from spending alot time with autists and being a autist myself is that Uli is a mildy autistic/has Aspergers syndrome but the OCD makes it hard for people to look past that. Its a shame he wont try and see a different doctor/psychologist as he really needs help.

indeed I wish he would go get diagnosed actually. Its better to know late, than to never know at all. Even tho he is not a child he should head there now or basically as soon as possible. Thats my advice for him if he wanted to contact some online specalists on this forum for further information about autism.

Having autism diagnosis doesnt guarantee one a tugboat unless they wanna grift cash off daddy government, nobody I've ever known with autism has signed up for free government money. There's a bit of a sorta different vibe between donations and government gibs despite both technically being money.

Just read through the whole thread (after discovering it earlier this week) and went through some of his Facebook postings and archived web pages. Wow, what a guy.

Here's a quirk I noticed that I'd like an explanation for, if any exists; he seems to often give speeds measured in "mph per second." For example, this page on his mind game says he can "accelerate at 5 mph per second" while gliding and this page says he can "change the force of gravity from 21.9 mph per second to 20 or 80 mph per second" (IANA physicist but I don't think you can measure gravity using the same measurements as speed). Lest we think this is an old quirk or just exclusive to the mind game, his latest Facebook post says "I had to slam on my brakes, at about 12 mph per second…" Does he just mean miles per hour, or is this some sort of Uli-level measurement of speed which is beyond the understanding of us normies?
