Hopefully next time the Tories just go full pandering mode and say they'll pay for care homes and an increase to the NHS by cutting foreign aid.

And cut out all that upperclass fox hunting nonsense.
Apologies for the double post, but no, it transpires that it's not completely impossible for brexit to be cancelled. Article 50 can be un-invoked apparently, and the Eu has quietly said that they'll be willing to accept such a move up until about Christmas time. Beyond that, we'll be committed to leaving absolutely.
It's really cynical how aside from Lib Dems and UKIP Brexit was barely mentioned during election but it's clearly been a major issue for the metropolitan elite and now they are pushing hard to get free movement (By demanding we remain in the single market) as if it was made clear that's what the snap election was all about and somehow by losing they also still won the argument.

As somebody who trained as a fucking gamekeeper who knows how foxhunting worked I am dead set against it returning, keep it in the history books where it belongs.

If she had lead with that she would have got a lot of votes, the UK is somewhere in the top 5 aid distributing nations both Governmentally and Publicly, but it's not going where it should or get's spent on amazingly stupid things like propping up that girl band in Africa to the tune of a few million a year. Cut that crap out of the budget and redirect it inwards you'd see a lot of people vote for someone willing to do that I mean in the UK in the 21st century we have fucking food banks normal hardworking people use them because the cost of living is absurd in this country in a few key areas you just can't do without like housing etc.

If she lead with that and a sensible approach to enacting that by cutting aid etc it wouldn't have cost her anything it would have gained her support, especially in a lot of the harder hit labour areas who are crying out for leadership.

The problem is lots of people are thinking Brexit = England reclaiming it's place on the world stage, and yea it kinda does mean that but we also have a lot of problems to fix at home first before we can do that without being hypocritical while doing so. I'm viewing Brexit and this election as a chance for England to reimagine ourselfs,
If we take the time maybe a decade and really work hard at it we can be the world leader we once where, since the end of WW2 England sort of been lost, the empires gone, countries we used to own are now major international players, our biggest brands are all owned by foreign multinationals, social identity has changed an such.

So let's take this opportunity to go right what's the problems at home? OK we will fix them then we can say, OK what do we want to do in the world and what should we do to make the best contribution we can on the international stage? And I can see nobody realistically talking about that but the mutterings are starting since the election.

It seems the Rumour Mill is grinding along for Nick Timothy and Fiona Hill's heads (Who's now resigned and Hammond is demanding a deputy PM to monitor her and to roadtest ideas). While Grammar Schools is a May heartfelt policy, one I definitely support.

It seems her aides were the one playing barnyard fuckabout by throwing in stuff like a massive social care reform plan badly thought through and un-road tested by other more wisened heads, such as Katie Perrior, aka Boris' Wrangler who did a supremely good job at keeping him well informed and in touch with Londoners. She got so fucking sick of them she quit despite being one of the best communications SPADS in modern politics she hated the fact they seemed to be constantly at war with everyone.

It's entirely possible Hammond is the one who delivered May the ultimatum. Either they go, or you all go.

Glad to see she's fighting off that type 2 diabetes weight loss.

Unions plotting a Summer of Discontent in at attempt to get Corbyn into Number 10.

The Last Time such a method was tried, it resulted in Thatcher taking Number 10 in a massive landslide. May being so weak electorally means she probably won't stand during the next General Election, so long as the Tories get their act together (which is likely now Lynton's in control of campaigning again) they could get that majority back.

They pledged to defy the election result and help the Labour Party seize power like the Bolsheviks in 1917, stating: ‘We will have a Red October with Jeremy Corbyn as our Prime Minister!’
You can't make this shit up...

People keep bugging him about gayhomosex and christianity.

He also turned a Lib Dem Safe seat into an under 1,000 marginal.
It's a shame they can't accept that his religion says something is a sin but he voted to allow it because of his progressive views, if it were a female Muslim in his situation I wonder if they'd be the same reaction? (Especially by the media)

'We absolutely believe unions should take action together against a pay cap that has seen the average worker lose a fifth of their income at a time when the rich are getting richer.’
Gee it couldn't possibly have anything to do with freedom of movement where national workers have to compete with those from countries with far lower wages!

Under the current situation why would bosses offer better wages or contracts when they know they can just hire someone else for minimum wage and pat themselves on the back for prioritising profits?

Yeah but its all bout fatcha innit?

Who's been dead 5 years.

It's exactly the damn point, they're legally supposed to prioritize british workers first and foremost, but if no brit is willing to work a base job for £7 an hour then why should they raise prices to attract them in?

Its the same as they keep predicting all jobs will somehow collapse via labour shortages but this simply won't be the case, business will simply adjust their prices to be able to afford the workers, or pay the (still rather modest) fees involved for a likely work permits scheme.
