Ehhhhhhhhh, as autistic as it sounds, he's sort of right. Polling Stations are supposed to be absolutely apolitical and people can get a bit antsy about it whenever something is left out, however accidentally.
None of the people witnessing the vote round here had anything out but usually have books or papers nearby as it's quite the long day for them.
What's been funnier is people have been buying the tabloids in support of the Tories (Sun, Mail, Express) and burning or binning them.

I would say I can't wait for the rage when the Abbopotomus is voted out, but it's fucking Hackney, she'll get in again!

this campaign has finally finally killed abbotts career. Her casual racism would have killed any white candidate's years ago sadly her incompetence was never really aired publically as previous leaders were wise enough to keep her far from power.
Unfortunately after standing in front of stalinist and maoist flags at a communist rally Comrade McDonnell has been strangely silent. If corbyn refuses to resign expect him to make a bid to lead the left faction within labour.
This is the man whose policies nearly bankrupted london under notorious anti semite Ken Livingston and who now wishes to try again with the country as a whole.

Reports and pictures of turnout in Tory safe seats is apparently through the roof. Sussex reporting huge turnouts and queues at polling stations during the evening as the weather has now broken and become nice.
Either middle england finally shat itself and realised it can't have someone like Corbyn near a snifter of power and is voting after finishing work, or "The Great Unwashed" all want their free stuff.
I suspect the former than the latter, but we shall see come 10pm and the Exit Poll.

This is also a clear breach of Electoral law. The Sun being present isn't really a breach as the Electoral Officers aren't displaying it prominently. This kind of emotional blackmail isn't allowed any more than having a person with a rosette outside saying 'Vote me or I'll burn your house down'

During the stop the war march I was working at the bottom of Kingsland Road, downhill from Stoke Newington*.
The organisers claimed "over a million people", however if my observations are correct it was about 30/1 children/adult, as every fucken school in Hackney was parading their classes past. There were literally crocodiles of 5 year olds in hi-vis tabards and Palestinian flag face paint, thoroughly enjoying the only exercise they got that year, while their smug "try and sack me" teachers beamed with pride.

Oh gods yes. I remember being on a train going to a mate's barbecue in Walthamstow back in 2013 and these two hipster parents with "Freedom for Palestine" flags got on going to some sort of mass reeeee about Gaza and they had their clueless little kid in a pushchair who'd been forced to clutch a sign saying, "I wish I could grow up in a world without zionist oppression." Like this poor mite was just some sort of prop.
