The Uganda meme based on the films actually helped fund more Ugandan films. They're clearly aware of the joke and don't give a shit. People just love to be offended over things that don't involve them. Not because they actually care, they just wanna feel like some sort of hero. Or they're just fucking stupid.

Consider Ugandan's history of colonialism, dictatorships, genocide, religious fundmentalism, civil war, and child soldiers; this silly meme is one of the better things to happen to that country.
 
I was at the birthday party for a relative's kid. One kid there, probably 9ish, had a thing on his phone so he could push a button and it went DUU YUU NO DA WHEY.

He was also talking about the illuminati a lot.

Edit: I've since been told he's 8.
