How is it that The Division 2 is Ubisoft's most broken game?
The Division 1 was created by the A team, which made Division 2, and then Ubisoft through Div2 was going to die so they gave it to the C Team to hold in maintenance mode.

Then it turns out Division 2 was all that Ubisoft had and wanted A Team work out of the C Teamers that were suppose to just keep the Division 2 servers up.

This mode will be available only during the anniversary season in March
It's genuinely wild to me how a team with so few resources spends so much time/effort on limited time shit like this, mode or the companion system (although given how trash that system is I can't wait for it to fuck off and not come back).

Also for the Div 2 players in here, did you all get what you wanted from Krampus 9assuming you took part). Given how generous the droprates were, and the fact it could be mega cheesed I'm guessing yes. My only real criticism of the event is the lack of Ravenous in the loot pool since it's the only usable exclusive exotic other than Regulus (which requires you to be able to consistently hit headshots).

Division 2 Realism mode:
It's a shame that it's a timed event. It should be a permanent game mode.
That said, good luck retooling the abilities, at least there's no bullshit boss fight with magic shields like in the Brooklyn expansion.

As part of the wider Tom Clancy's universe, The Division 2 will also receive cosmetic rewards and outfits inspired by other Tom Clancy IPs, such as Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six Siege, and Splinter Cell.
Maybe this time the Splinter Cell cosmetics will actually fit the character (male or female) and not look weird.

I kind of wish the companion system remained in game (but with some modifications to make them useful), you feel less alone if you don't want to play with randoms.

I finally got the Eagle Bearer and the Regulus. I'm disappointed by the Regulus, I thought it would be a cool gun based on the test at the firing range but it's quite bad once in the open world.

I can see the logic in that, and I used to be in that camp as well. However I find the current implementation so fucking bad that it's basically permanently soured me on them.

I'm curious why. is it just the need to hit constant headshots or something? Regulus is one of if not the single strongest weapons in the game, especially in the open world. If you have decent knowledge of enemy spawn locations you can literally delete entire waves with a single shot.

Apparently Ubisoft is laying off 55 employees from Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft Stockholm, on top of laying people off over at Ubisoft Abu Dhabi, and all this after the shutdown of Ubisoft Halifax.

Genuinely impressive start to 2026, let's see if they actually manage to survive to 2027.

I guess since Saudi Arabia only ordered one DLC for AC: Mirage there was no reason for Ubisoft to keep a studio in Abu Dhabi.

I probably don't have a good build for pistols.

Fair enough, for Regulus builds you have a couple of good options (pictures shamelessly stolen for convenience from iKias build collection):

Of the two I personally prefer the Hunter's Fury version for the CC (I also don't like relying on that first shot from Dodge City, I'm not that good). For open world stuff I'll often swap out the D&H bag for a Memento. It's less damage overall (especially when you don't have your long term Memento buff maxed), but I much prefer the extra survivability of 2 more shield cores + skill efficiency + armor regen. I'll just make sure to go hit a couple of quick territory controls to get the buffs maxed ASAP before I go hit content with tougher enemies like Public Executions.

God damn it I've actually had a good time getting back into Division 2 to get my Navi killer set. Time to look into builds and new gear cause I think there has been a bit damage creep since the last time I played.

Dunno how long it's been since you played but the general meta for most content is still some form of Striker's build. There's been some slight changes to it in the last couple of seasons with some new exotics and named gear offering different options (Tinkerer mask if you want to run non named/exotic guns, Overdogs if you want more damage and are capable of basic target prioritization etc)

SOT is perfectly fine (maybe the combat could use some help) but I would be happy with a remake if it also means they would remake WW and TTT. Both those games are rushed as fuck and you can feel them falling apart in your hands. Every time I replay WW on a new computer I get another bug. That said, I had zero hope for SOT with the work they showed. My dream would be the original team back together with more time but that would never happen.

And yet BGE2 still soldiers on.

Edit: So many catturds in that litterbox of an update. Can't even sift them all out but annualized Far Cry and "open world action games and GaaS" as our priority were two that caught my eye as well as one of the CF groups being Anno plus a bunch of stuff they haven't made in decades.

About fucking time. Now they need to get rid of the DEI offices and its activists and hire people who actually like video games or all that restructure will be for nothing.
The bullshit comes entirely from the top at Ubisoft, including Yves Guillemot himself seemingly doing his best to sabotage his own company for the past 15 years. It'll never get properly purged while he and his nepobaby kids and other family are still running the place.

I remember when he fought off the Vivendi takeover of Ubisoft but couldn't keep them out of Gameloft, his mobile gaming side-business. Everyone cheered. Now Gameloft is worth like five times more than Ubisoft so who ran their business better?
