WASHINGTON — The United States shot down a fourth flying object over North America on Sunday, this one over Lake Huron in Michigan, U.S. officials said.

The Pentagon used an F-16 fighter jet that shot the object with a Sidewinder air-to-air missile. This object was unidentified, as was an object shot down over the Yukon Territory in Canada on Saturday and another shot down over the Arctic Ocean near Alaska on Friday.

The episodes began on Feb. 4, when the U.S. military shot down a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina.

The latest turn in the aerial show taking place in the skies above North America comes after a helter-skelter weekend involving what at times seemed like an invasion of unidentified flying objects.

The incursions seemed to become so common that Biden administration officials have found themselves issuing private assurances that there is no evidence that they involve extraterrestrial activity. But officials also acknowledge privately that the longer they are unable to provide a public explanation for the provenance of the objects, the more speculation grows.

On Friday, after tracking an unidentified object 40,000 feet in the air across Alaska and into a fairly congested air traffic route for commercial flights between the United States and Asia, the United States shot down the object. It used the same type of airplane (an F-22) and weaponry (a Sidewinder air-to-air missile) that was used to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon a week earlier.

But soon after recovery teams began the effort to locate and identify the debris in the Prudhoe Bay area, NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, which is operated by the United States and Canada, began tracking a second unidentified object. This one moved across Alaska on Friday night and crossed into Canada on Saturday before it was shot down by an American fighter jet over the Yukon Territory.

The second object, Canadian authorities said, was cylindrical. The first object, American officials said, was the size of a small car, though one official said it was also cylindrical.

Oh how convenient for all these mysterious slant eyed UFO's to start appearing around the great lakes in mass just when there is a massive chemical spill in the great lakes. Really makes someone think.

Supposedly there is going to be a major economic downturn or even an outright market crash sometime between February 15th and February 25th.

This is likely a distraction from that.

Supposed video of this object. Not sure what to make of it tbh, Looks particularly balloon like in its strange movement but the weird flashes seems to coincide with the movement like its little propulsion jets(?) or something, If that was the case i dont know how it made it this far into the country because holy fuck does it looks inefficient

It's efficient because it is dirt cheap. Once the balloon is that high up it will follow the air currents and just float into the territory it takes it.

How much does a spy balloon cost? A few thousand dollars at most? How much does an F-16 or F-22 plus missile cost to operate? Maybe China's plan is to get the US to attrite its finances and resources. Thanks to their new alliance with Russia and the rest of BRICS, they don't need to rely on the US for consoomers like they did in the past.

yeah from what I get this is sorta like the mythic legend of
"We in the USA were able to spend a gajillion dollars to invent zero-g pens to write in space!" "We in USSR am just using pencils"
the individual units aren't super great but they're so fucking cheap that you can spam a ton of them for the cost of a fancy drone

"Relax, fellow Americans. It's not Aliens. It's just China. And Russia. And perhaps Iran, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, and maybe Cuba."

Starting to wonder if these things are Russian rather than Chinese. Would at least explain the impuslive willingness to immediately down them vs. hum and haw because slant eyes own Pudding Brain and co.

Unlikely. Biden Admin would be super eager to scream about it as a way to shame and force people into supporting Ukraine and go for a cheap "rally around the flag" boost. Also pretty sure the Russians still have some leftover USSR Spy Satellites that are pulling their weight.

I was more so referring to the efficiency of the potential propulsion system in the video (Assuming that is what it is ofcourse), Whenever one of those lights flash it looks like the thing starts flailing

Looking more at the still image of it actually im starting to think this balloon is meant to imitate a bird in an attempt to hide from radar, perhaps those things on the side are flapping. Just tinfoil spitballing here
