LINKERKELEY (CBS SF) — A former Diablo Valley College philosophy professor has been arrested for his role in a violent melee that broke out during a Berkeley rally supporting President Donald Trump last month, authorities said Thursday.
Organizers dubbed the rally a “Patriot Day” for people who support the president, but it quickly degenerated into a brawl with counter demonstrators. Twenty people were arrested and 11 others were injured — seven of which needed hospitalization.

So if he gets 10 years, and he gets the 54 days for the 10 years, he'll serve about 8 and a half. Also, case studies indicate that federal prisoners can expect to serve 87% of the time served.
If he gets any time, it isn't going to be done easily. And since the police have the bike lock, security footage, the outfit, witnesses....yeah. I hope he'll get time, but I don't know. He could wiggle out of it if his lawyer is good. But bashing a complete stranger in the head with a bike lock because you don't like their politics should be made an example of. This is not something that should be encouraged or let off lightly. It was a fucking free speech rally, not a Neo-Nazi one (if it were a real Neo-Nazi one he'd be too much of a fucking pussy to do anything. So not only is he a coward, but he's a violent coward).
