I plan on picking it up this paycheck how close is it to the original theme hospital? I totally forgot this game was coming out honestly

It's pretty damn similar. Down to heating up the hospital and everything. It's been forever since I played Theme Hospital but I think there's more stuff that gets unlocked throughout the game in Two Point Hospital.

Word of warning to anyone considering it, the game has some really annoying bugs.

First off the stuff I can't confirm myself: The reputation system seems to be pretty broken in a way that you get easily swarmed by patients with no reasonable way to thin their numbers. Haven't noticed it myself yet, but I am not in the endgame quite.

Secondly the stuff I can confirm: Patients get stuck very easily and jam the works. Often in spots where there's nothing blocking them. The AI simply drops dead and occasionally also takes up space in front of hospital equipment (a patient might just keep waiting for a nurse to help them take up a ward bed, but they're ignored and they just stand there taking up space). Sometimes patients who are stuck in the middle of a corridor for no reason (and no way to make them go about their way again) they get angry and threaten to leave (I fucking wish) but instead they keep standing there, the game keeps pinging you with messages about someone stuck and you being a shit hospital director, and the person will never even die since a "ragequitting" patient turns invulnerable and no longer dies from their illness.

Other than that, it's a fun game. Retardedly unfair at times when the lemming AI just won't cooperate, but if you liked Theme Hospital, you'll like this one. There's also a certain level of autistic fine-tuning to your staff numbers and skills and job assignments, which should be a plus for any tycoon fan.

I haven't noticed any overt bugs, there might be an issue with the reputation system but it's never been an actual issue in terms of generating income.

I recently re-finished theme-hospital and wanted to pick this up as it looks very similar. Glad to hear that it's been getting some good reviews, I'll probably pick it up at during the next big sales.

God damn fucking Mitton University won't stop glitching. A lot of other people are having the same problem but aside from some weird "keep one save file then delete backups" fix it looks like it's unplayable for me until it's patched.

I was really enjoying it too then smacked right into the wall with that shit.

Since it's a modern day game I assume it's buggy so I'll wait a few months until it's ready and then buy it. I've been looking forward to it for a while.

I got it because I used to play theme hospital a lot and I'm really enjoying it.
Please enjoy these shitty screenshots

For me, the game has been mostly bug free, or at least nothing game breaking. I had an emergency where the patients refused to show up. When a hospital gets big enough the game will stutter at regular intervals, but that's about it.

I hope they re-balance the game or add mod support. Right now there are some balance changes I'd like to see fixed. Decorations really need a boost in power and a price increase because right now it's both trivial and necessary to cover your hospital in plants and the same 5 paintings. The success rate on some machines could use a boost as well. The injector machine was a death trap when I first got it.
