Twitter is experiencing major problems with posting some images and links, the second time within a week that the platform has suffered problems.

Clicking on links embedded in posts results in an error message.

Twitter said some parts of the service "may not be working as expected right now" and blamed an internal change that "had some unintended consequences".

On Downdetector, which tracks technical problems, more than 5,000 people reported issues.

Some third-party services that use Twitter's API system also appear to be having issues.

Elon's code monkeys are restricting too much of the API for regular users it seems. The error it's throwing is {"errors":[{"message":"Your current API plan does not include access to this endpoint, please see https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api for more information","code":467}]}, meaning that they are trying to enroll their new paid API, but are fucking something up and regular API calls that are supposed to make the site work are being blocked because the site assumes you're trying to use the API when you're not paying that 100$/month for the access, but in the wrong scenario.

so is this another case of the pajeet programmers didnt properly test in a sanbox before pushing their shitty code to production?

What a shitshow. Gotta wring out as much money as possible to make your investment worthwhile.

Is there any reason why every fucking link on twitter needs to be a t.co link in the first place? I just want to click the link, not to have my hand held by twitter and be tracked by them while visiting another site.

Is this why twitter loads slowly whenever I view a link to a tweet recently? Eh, don't care anyway but Musk could turn this into an intended feature, plenty of people there have been wasting their life on that website for a long time that it would be helpful.

Analytics to track users on where they go from the site.

Probably. Not like Null hasn't ever tested shit on the live site and fucked shit up, everyone does it at some point.
Null has the excuse of being a lone, broke autist fighting against the entire system using a type of setup that's never quite existed before.

Twitter is a multi-gazillion dollar company with as many programmers as they want and the resources to make test environments.

In theory, character limits.

In practice, user tracking.

In tinfoil, fucks with archives and assists in memory holes.

I guess that's one way to flush out any remaining CSAM that was missed during November's purge.
