Plus, it was also the admin(s) who installed that "seeking boyfriend free girl" relationship status (which is on the verge of getting replaced).
They want to LARP as a political lobby, fine. I can't stop them. But it's irritating as hell to watch.
And from the Final Fantasy X-2 entry, the fact that they have a term called “Underground Monkey” makes this look stupid.

This is a total non sequitur.
  • Those aren't palette swaps, they're recycled assets.
  • "That" is grammatically incorrect.
  • The game opens with unique enemies: LeBlanc and her backup dancers. This Troper did not play the game or even watch a Let's Play.
Fuck.

Well, parts of that movie are kinda questionable. :story: Wasn't it implied that "Angela" went crazy on account of his old man being gay?

By that logic, however, every slasher movie is offensive. The victims are punished for having sex, doing drugs, listening to rock or being black. A lot of them were probably cooked up as a way to get around the ratings system, but after a while, the line gets kind of blurred.
Oops i forgot to show the screencap. Here ya go:

"radical centrist who just wants to grill" tone the wiki takes
Would that it were true. The same rich kids who ruin DSA meetings are now ruining TVTropes!

I'm as left as you can be (without releasing all caged animals and softly whispering into crystals), and nobody wants these wokesters around. They're parasites who undermine the left.

Up until last Halloween, the Hilarious in Hindsight entry on the YMMV page for Sonic X had this:

The purged entry also included this, presented without comment:

To no one's surprise at all, TV Tropes (the forum) has noticed the Digimon Tamers 2021 script reading.
Discussion of the reading begins near the bottom of this page.

Their opinions are obviously agreeing with Twitter for the most part.
EDIT: Having read people's replies beneath Konaka's (the writer of Digimon Tamers 2021) tweets (below), I mean the majority of people getting uppity over a generic "censorship/cancel culture is bad" take.

I expect TV Tropes (both the forum and page/subpages of Digimon Tamers) to start screeching about how Konaka is alt-right (more than they are now) after he posts his view.

People are coping hard (as expected of them) by claiming they'll ignore it exists (the concept of "fanonuity" which I consider stupid)... when it's a follow-up to Digimon Tamers 2018: Days -Information and the Unordinary- which I presume is canon... considering that in turn is a follow-up to the Digimon Tamers anime itself.

Someone was disappointed in the voice actors for "going along with this nonsense."

I guess they don't understand that the actors either (A) were paid to do this or (B) wanted to come back and didn't care what was part of the script.

I just realized they (the posters) contradict each other by claiming "Tamers is ruined!" while also saying "I'll ignore this lalalalalala."

Relevant screenshots (not from the forums but subpages within the/on the Digimon Tamers page)

Great way to be impartial/neutral, guys.
Also they still use tropes when talking to each other on the forums? Are they all autistic or something?

I am not a cartoon sperg but have seen this digimon thing pop up in a few threads, what's the deal with it?
The Digimon Tamers cast read a script written by Konaka, who wrote the original show, where the villain is a personification of political correctness, cancel culture, and memory holing.

That's it. That's seriously what everyone's getting so bent out of shape over.

"Great Reset Theory?" It's a real book. You can buy copies from the World Economic Forum's own website.

I wouldn't say they have the best grasp on anything that goes on outside of the forum/TV Tropes itself... considering they didn't even bother to look at Konaka's own posts on his personal blog (or even his own Twitter) but did bother to look at someone's "translation" (read: not translated at all in the thread lol) of Konaka's blog... even though they can just Google Translate his own blog themselves and draw their own conclusions.

I don't expect them to do that, obviously, but still.
