That, or they associate bricks with a childhood phobia. People on the spectrum often have extremely accurate memories. The bad part is the arresting feeling when a memory of something bad comes back.

Keeping up with the spirit of CWC for this site, here's a "Dethroning Moment of Suck" entry for the Angry Video Game Nerd, specifically his review of Sonic '06. It never fails to make me laugh when a troper bitches about one joke ruining a series forever for them.

The "shark" moment for me was Sonic being voiced. That's when he went from a cute rodent who can run really fast to a "someone who speaks to me" and "got me through some tough times."
No one wants to own CWC, but he is more representative of the fans than they want to admit. I can't really think of a more butthurt fanbase.

There was a trope called "It Gets Better", where a work starts out mediocre but becomes more enjoyable the more you delve into it. That trope was renamed to "Slow-Paced Beginning", but they apparently didn't take all of the uses into account, which leads to shit like this (from the YMMV page for Final Doom).
You can imagine someone unfamiliar with the history of the trope reading this and wondering how in the hell that qualifies as "slow-paced".

As usual, someone got suspended by denying that an sci-fi faction isn't a Mary Sue. Got suspended for arguing in the edits as opposed to the discussion page. Someone else came by to suspend the guy who was banned. Gets banned for being a meatpuppet because banned users automatically lose the argument.
