TVT has, knowingly or unknowingly, become a hugbox for middle-class shut-ins with no life experience and a dozen plushies on their bed. They're privileged and they won't admit it.

Running to the teacher for help is a symptom of a larger problem. It reinforces their worst instincts, and the "NTs" have fled in droves.

Don't know if this is old news to some but the LGBT community has a tendency to claim things as their own. Instead of X topic being within that spectrum it seems that the moment members of the LGBT crowd like something, they will rush to assimilate it. It's both selfish and moronic since it just further exposes their "them vs us" mentality.

I've seen a lot of bad info and grammar errors on TVT but it seems like it's the same ol' "Rules for me and not for thee". It's pretty clear that they are playing favorites and people on TVT are expected to take the mods passive aggressive behavior for any minor infraction be it for legitimate reasons or not. It would be fine if they actually did it to anyone being a dumbass but being like this to everyone is one of the best ways to make lots of enemies.
 
So, I've been going through the character pages for Fire Emblem: Three Houses and it turns out that they kind of obsessed with who has largest bra size amongst the cast. (The Golden Deer has the most amount of cringe.)

At one point they cleared this kind of fetishistic crap (mostly) off the site. I see they've let the perverts back though, or at least are letting them openly perv out.

Well, it's related to an old datamining project where people found out the bust sizes, among other things. Naturally, the internet was obsessing over it, for a time and TVT either documented it or used it as an excuse to state the unmentionables.

It's rather funny that on some pages you get some morons who sound like they're straight out of resetera while there exists a trope page for anarcho-tyranny (and yes, it directly references Sam Francis) and a laudatory Web Video page for Razorfist. Does TVtropes have both a left and right wing echo chamber?

Imagine losing an argument about economics to a communist. Being an Obama neolib prevents him from using the Uno Reverse card and pointing out that modern "capitalism" is actually a state-managed economy and therefore these excesses are the fault of state power, which makes things harder. But he doesn't even bother attacking the labour theory of value or other fanciful notions which their arguments rest on (like that one guy who thinks workers are "exploited" if they don't earn the same hourly rate as their managers). He just strawmans their position and says its bad!

There was an active Tea Party presence, but Fighteer purged them, I know they cut most, if not all, of the pages related to Gamergate for being "drama-magnets." What you're seeing is probably an artifact of the Obama years.
