This is supposed to be funny? Wheres the punchline? Wheres the witty banter? Wheres the wacky hijinks? Illegal beach party during a pandemic should be the plot of some comedy film where wacky characters persuade their straight-laced friend to go along with their crazy plan. This isn't a comedic skit this is an angry lecture from a killjoy. You'd have to have some kind of autism to think this is funny.

Despite what I have just mentioned, however, XM98 honestly is one of the only actually competent users that TV Tropes has had so far (for starters, he actually does care about giving his edits good grammar and actually is good at finding non-completely-obvious tropes in the things that his edits are about, and he also has added an absolute TON of extremely important stuff to TVT's Mother 3 and Courage The Cowardly Dog pages...with said stuff naturally being stuff that TVT's moderators then wiped right off of said pages because "brain fetish man bad"). Despite how badly TVT clearly needs the type of user that XM98 has evolved into, however, TVT's moderators STILL endlessly refuse to let XM98 back into TVT. Surely enough, their reasons for said refusal basically are every bit as hypocritical and pompous as almost everything else that they do/believe.

It's akin to one of the many antifastonetoss and leftist memes that litter the StoneToss thread here. 'Long lecture' = 'hilarious punchline' in some communities. It seems highly inappropriate in a 'college humour' context, but similar forms of lecturing, partisan 'comedy' have become popular among comedians during the Trump era and while much of normal comedy is branded 'offensive.' Guerre aux jokes, paix aus wall-of-text will now be their slogan.
