Only in TV Tropes will you have someone who politely responds to a ban being told to fuck off and accept the terms, end of story.
tl;dr - Fighteer did his thing again.

eh, not too sure if this is entirely representative of 2010s, but whatever
It's representative of the experience of the TVTropes crowd, young Anglo-American nerds that consume too much product and get excited for next product.

Culture-wise, it's full of vapid capeshit nonsense, but then again that decade was filled with vapid capeshit nonsense, so it works. It's weirdly dominated by movies, with no representation of cable television and video games - media which has as much pull, if not more, as feature films.

Happenings-wise, Arab Spring, Occupy, Brexit, and Obama to Trump is a good overview of the decade's events, especially if put the various wars in the Middle East under the Arab Spring banner. BLM wraps the start and the end this new low dishonest decade nicely, honestly. I'm thinking the 2011 Japan Earthquake, Occupy Central/the 2019 Hong Kong protests and the Euromadian would also been appropriate here.

Going back one hundred or so pages on a tumblr called Fuck No TV Tropes (FNTVT), I found this PM that Fast Eddie sent to them. They were upset that people decided to edit their troper page and deleted the material. Eddie put it back. Then Eddie sent this response:

Powertripping much?
Remind me why no one else would have been a better admin than him. Literally anyone else could do it with more professionalism.

Wikipedia's compilation is much better. I know a lot of people here complain about them, but this is a good choice of events:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010s

Arab Spring, annexation of Crimea, ISIS, Paris Agreement, black hole imagery, gay marriage, smartphones, Brexit. Not too US centric, no orange man bad or superheroes, and a good mix of politics and technology.

It kind of works to largely focus on superheroes in media which also expanded into tv since the decade really saw the peak of the superhero phenomenon in culture.I don't see how much bigger it can get.We even had an Aquaman movie.I would be dissappointed if the 2020's are dominated by superhero movies as well and i grew up on superhero cartoons but still.

Only in TV Tropes do you have a giant security hole in which you can find mod dox... because they were dumb enough to put it on the site in the first place.
(I blurred it out, but it is easily findable running a forum search.)

Both email address and phone number look legit enough - I'm not going to email the mod over it - but Jesus Christ this OPSEC is absolute shit.

I get it as well.
It's still ironic (and really pathetic) that even though there's nothing stopping anyone from searching up the raw text of the mod forum, actually trying to access it throws a permissions error.

I guess it was too much work for the admins to set up a permissions check in the search bar... or just set it to not index the mod forum at all?
