One of the worst things about fandoms is when they are not the primary focus of a site but become the tail wagging the dog anyway, and that is a huge problem for TV Tropes. My own fork All The Tropes, I'll let others be the judge how more or less bad it is, but when we started, we wanted to put the actual primary mission of cataloging tropes first. I personally never got the insane obsession with certain fandoms and how their fans were apparently obsessed with turning TV Tropes into a shrine for them myself, but I can't deny the ugly result of that is ruining any value of the primary site mission to being a shrine for fan autism.

I think part of the problem is TT becoming mainstream. The direction of the site went completely south after the original admin pretty much gave up and left it under less than competent management.

It's not like the original admin Gus "Fast Eddie" Raley was a paragon of competence or anything.

Why do Canadian cartoons so popular with the autism crowd anyways? Is it because of they all have that same art style that super popular with Deviant-spergs?

I will admit it, some of the kiddie-show spergs are “normal” compared to all the other degenerates on the site, and even thats saying much.

This may be old news for some, but I just found out that forum jannie and powertripping faggot Deadbeatloser22 apparently trooned out, which isn't really surprising because he's just one of a long line of terrible people pretending to be women as a shield. What makes it funny is he forgot to update parts of his page.

So I don't know if this has been mentioned before but The Hunger Games has its own page for "Broken Aesop". Why does it have its own page? Beats me. I guess it's because some SJWs and Bronies got butthurt that a book series about teenagers violently mutilating each other isn't as feel-good with handling their morals as My Little Pony and Steven Universe.

I probably wouldn't mention it if it weren't for how dumb the first bullet point is.

Yeah, because it's not like Katniss had been starving and living in poverty for the entirety of her life and was forced to volunteer in a tournament where she may not even make it out alive, and if she did she would be psychologically damaged for the rest of her life. It's not like if you were poor and had been eating nothing but rabbit meat and bread for 16 years because some rich, greedy tyrants who control your life hog all the good food up, you wouldn't eat to your heart's content if said rich douchebags finally offered you their food. But no, let's just attack this character for wanting to feel beautiful, eat a fulfilling feast, and enjoy the luxuries she never got to enjoy before having to get sent off into something that could very well kill her, if not turn her into a depressed and jaded wreck who's still struggling in poverty.

Also, this "hypocrisy" is heavily unbalanced. It wasn't like Katniss was stealing the food. She took what they offered her. Also, she wasn't wasting the food. She ate what she wanted and stopped eating when she got full. How is that as grossly wasteful as literally throwing food away or vomiting it out?! Either whoever wrote this hates rich people way too much or just wants to go out of their way (in the most scraping-the-barrel way possible) to make a female protagonist look like a narcissistic, hypocritical bitch.

The Transformers Wiki is better for the franchise than TVTropes. It actually helps that the people creating the shows use the wiki so their professionalism is understood. No one to my knowledge uses TVTropes for the same reason.

I get that it's a small little country that most people mix up with Paraguay and we're not even a blip in the awareness of most people in the world. But for fuck's sake, how hard it is to spell 'Uruguay'? Have some professionalism!
