Honestly I don't think that's the part they hate, what they hate is the villains actually being villains, i.e. doing bad things. In troperland if your villain isn't completely fucking toothless then that's problematic and wrong.

The fact they were stupid enough to make a dumbass threat anyway, yeah, that's funny, in a really pathetic way.

Rosemary's Baby This is the right place to say this. I was always kind of turned on when Rosemary gets raped by the demon. I mean, after I watched it, everybody I know said what a horrible scene that was, how traumatic and devastating, and sure it was...but it was kind of hot too.
