How does not liking Captain Marvel translate into white evangelical?Are white evangelicals that enamored with the superhero genre?Ok some certainly are but is the superhero genre that important of a struggle for them?Are there no atheists who don't like Captain Marvel?Or are they also under the control of white evangelicals?It seems like a very narrow group to focus on.I always assumed the vast majority of people who get into discussions about superheroes and pop culture in general are largely pop culture nerds probably 80%.Somehow i don't see that many preachers being die hard pop culture nerds one or two maybe.

My favourite conspiracy theory from these people is when they say the entire US government is run by evangelical Zionists who want Israel to be destroyed to bring about the end of days. Because of course they'd give billions of dollars of military aid to Israel so it could get destroyed. That's how geopolitics works. That might be more of a Chapo/Reddit leftist thing than TV Tropes, though.
