Gotta love how many jimmies that movie rustled, just look at how they defend people who can't stop having kids.

There was somebody on the page history arguing that anti-intellectualism was "a right wing movement". It's honestly amazing the lack of self reflection some people have

It reeks of "everything I don't like is right wing."

TV Tropes had a bad habit of allowing people to whore their fan work and being very, very lazy about enforcing rules on "entry pimping", allowing them to become the biggest repository of fanwank bullshit in no time flat, and I understand that hasn't improved very much.
I've seen some people edit their own works' TVTropes pages, fan or not. It feels rather shameless.

Some entire fanwork subsections are created by the creator. It's sad and pathetic and very tvtropes.
At least they have an rule that bans the creators from editing their YMMV pages. Not that it'll prevent it from happening in the first place or anything.

It happens, though, sometimes not even very subtly. I'm not sure if there are any current examples but always be on the lookout in the fan works thing. Usually I think they just put up some even more autistic superfan to do it. Or more likely pretend to be said fan.

Related to fanfiction on TV Tropes, the author/sole page editor of Empath the Luckiest Smurf is... odd. It seems to be the product of a deeply autistic elderly man.

>SexIsGood: The Smurfs in this series don't seem to have a problem with sex, as long as its participants are married. The Imaginarium, which is the closest thing the story series has to ''Franchise/StarTrek'''s holodecks, does provide the male Smurfs who aren't married an outlet for their sexual needs, which is mentioned in a few stories.

The first thing I thought of when I see this is that scene in Donnie Darko where they go out shooting and talk about how the Smurfs have sex

I can say we at ATT do prune out fanfic pages we can't find sources for, are unpublished works in disguise, or are just writing with one hand far more vigorously, and being a discerning critic of fanfics myself, I will personally burn to the ground anything that does not fit the manual of style some asshole dropped like a turd on the porch especially.

Fine by me, if it means that ATT has nothing about The Adventures Of Miss Daring Do. I know it's a pet peeve of mine, but dear gawd that sort of fanfic really sucks shit. It's embarrassing to see TV Tropes endorse it.

I don't realize their forums went back that long. Fast Eddie reputedly purge all inactive threads older than 6 months, claiming he needed to conserve disk space. Did the new management get hold of the entire archive?

I don't think so. I never heard of him doing that either.

Does anyone even know what Fast Eddie is doing now? That site was his whole life.
