Can tropers stop adding fetish story as plot? Their ad revenue excuse bs won't help. (This was obviously one of his fans or the author himself editing this trite)

The creator of that page is Unicorndance, an self-described asexual girl who into most of the kiddy shows and 'tism magnets.

Big surprise.

From the "Trolling, Free Speech, and the Law" thread, tropers jerk themselves off to the thought of banning free speech.

"It's not thoughtcrime if they're SAYING it" completely misses the point of why people call it "thoughtcrime".

"Hate speech against white people doesn't exist/shouldn't be prosecuted."
View attachment 403855 Yeah, I trust Tropers 100% to determine who's an asshole and who deserves freedom or not.

View attachment 403860 I like how Adric talks about how even if people follow the hypothetical hate speech laws they should still be looked at like criminals.

This is late, but Adric, tell that to the ACLU. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Socialist_Party_of_America_v._Village_of_Skokie

Every one of these guys jerk off to the thought of big corporations banning their ideological foes, not knowing the banhammer may come for them eventually. First they came for the socialists, yadda yadda yadda.

At times, I think of coming back, but these users make me reconsider.

Every time I go to TV tropes, it's gotten worse. More and more shoehorned entries having nothing to do with the work in question. Every trope is about one of the five thousand Kamen Rider shows/comics/whatever. Everything made before current year has 'unfortunate implications'. The 'funny aneurism' trope needs to be removed because while it might be a useful term occasionally, it's never used that way, and instead is like "This scene was funny but later the actor did a thing people didn't like".

Also there should be real life examples allowed of all tropes. That's where all the good shit is.

Values Dissonance and Unfortunate Implications should die. It's just the same trope, SJWs bitching about some "problematic" element of a piece of work that was made before 2012 and how it shouldn't be watched.

Same for the Hilarious / Harsher /Heartwarming in Hindsight / Funny Aneurysm, it's just spergs being spergs and watching connections /being offended where there's no reason to.

The same should probably go to "An Aesop", where spergs are just restating what they think the episode's about, and acting as if the show they're using it on was meant to have unironic morals.

lol, they recapped every chapter of this thing:

They don't even use the advertiser excuse anymore, now the censorship policy is entirely voluntarily from what I understand.

And even more useless from where I'm sitting.

The sad thing is that I bet that the Nightmare Fuel pages for all of the films in the franchise combined aren't as long as the Nightmare Fuel page for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

EDIT: I was right. No exaggerating.

Just a side note here: I've heard that the MLP NF page was originally longer and had to be trimmed down to its current size.

The only way I'd accept it is if they just trimmed it down to a blank page, because I don't why grown-ass manchildren need to be scared over Flash-animated pastel ponies. Maybe if there was a disclaimer saying "These might make your children scared", but we all know they won't reproduce, or that children even know what a Trope is.

Funfact: How many does franchises the TV Tropes Pantheon represent? Yesterday, I manually counted 500+.

I didn't bother counting how many gods it has because I'm sure it's too damn many, but for brevity's sake, I assumed the median number of gods per franchise is 6-7 statistics-wise. So, the Pantheon has more than 3,000-3,500 characters there - no wonder I didn't, and still couldn't make sense of half of it. Hell, the people there seem to be more concerned about the franchises they follow, whether it's BlazBlue, Fate, Kamen Rider or whatever's currently popular.

These people.

Yes, the first item does gall me, but he's far from the only Japanese person who really doesn't want to admit to an incident so bad even the NAZIS were disgusted. As to the second, whoop de fucking shit.

As long as his music is good and his personal views do not screw that up, I could care less, and anyone with a brain who can stop tripping out on senseless outrage can too.

They only started to pretend to care because Dragon Quest is in Smash Bros. now, aren't they?
