THEY GOT TRIGGERED BY AN SNL SKETCH LMAOOOO

WMG is pretty exceptional as well. They try to relate EVERYTHING to ponies or Time Lords.

You forgot Dethroning Moment of Suck, Fridge Horror, and Nightmare Fuel.
Depends on the entry. Some of the Nightmare Fuel sub-entries are interesting in that it reflects what the writer thought was terrifying (which may or may not be the same for the reader).

That being said, the Pantheon is just silly. Roll my eyes, shake head, go back to game/book/etc silly.

That's what happens when your site peaks in 2011.

It does have one really backhanded virtue, but it's still hard to recommend given how ridiculous it's otherwise is: It's proven the most resistant to the wokeness garbage that infects other parts of the site, but then again, the Pantheon is haunted by the kind of mega autists for whom wokeness would kill their headcanons dead and thus refuse to allow it and the woke crowd has largely ignored it in exchange.

a lot of this feels like a sandbox for autistic people to learn to express basic ideas via obsessively categorizing

People always make stupid comparisons between characters/series, because of flimsy at best similarities, like "They both command armies and wear dark armor"or something. It's honestly a dumb excuse for them to mention something they like and it's eye-rolling at best.

This however is confusing because it makes no fucking sense.

It manages to be baffling even by TVT standards

You wouldn't be far off.

My friend Brent Laabs wrote a blog post basically agreeing that's a pretty valid way of putting it in many respects.

tl;dr: Troping is inherent autism, and it many ways our critics are right to point out it looks fruitless and stupid.

What are the most cringe-worthy parts of TvTropes?
Their American politics thread and anything related to SJWs

At least that explains the large number of autists running around. But hey, it's free entertainment for us.
