With Fast Eddie gone and Fighteer becoming increasingly more authoritarian and batshit than even Fast Eddie was, I'm wondering if we're going to see a collapse of the TV Tropes Forums community in the next few years?

The wiki will still likely stay up due to its prior reputation as a autistic yet mildly amusing way to kill spare time and read for fun.

The TV Tropes forum were an utter cesspit from day one but it used to be that the wiki was a mildly amusing website to read on a slow Tuesday and was largely separate from the forums. As long as you stayed on the Wiki and avoided the forums, you were fine

TV Tropes was pretty much started as a geekier and more laid-back pop culture Wikipedia but over the years it went downhill.

Honestly, the mass hentai purge in 2012 was where things went wrong in retrospect. It needed to happen but it was handled in the worst possible way. Kind of a "Road to Hell is paved with good intentions" sort of deal.

The purges gave the wiki a much-needed cleanup but due to Fast Eddie's autism and severe overreaction, it hurt the already dysfunctional community and caused increased overlap between the Wiki and the Forum wings of the site's community.

Oddly enough, I think the hentai purges in 2012 and the nuking of The Nunnery containment thread a while later played a major role in the current SJW zeitgeist that is dominant on TV Tropes.

Given the nature of Current Year, I'm sure SJW nonsense would have eventually infected the TV Tropes forums either way, but the wiki may have been more likely spared instead of being an even more autistic version of RationalWiki where the old articles are mildly entertaining but the newer stuff is utter culture wars garbage.

The 2012 purge was also where Fast Eddie's already notorious paranoid authoritarian tendencies went into overdrive and after the disputes regarding our good friend @GethN7 for daring to run a fork of the old Wiki, Fast Eddie eventually was replaced by Fighteer and his clique, who were every bit as awful as Eddie was.

Honestly, once the pendulum swings back, I think the already disreputable TV Tropes forums will decline but I would not be surprised if the wiki keeps going for a long while.

TV Tropes is garbage. Used to be a nice place to read some critical analysis of works and learn the building blocks of stories, but Tropers have a really bad habit of trying to fit every trope they can into one work. Plus, Troper Tales was the best part of the site, and they axed that.

They've also got awful taste in media.

I love the implication that the Red Army was any better than the Nazis.

Guess he never heard of the Katyn Massacre.

The Reds weren't trying to wipe out entire nations.

I hate Communists with a murderous passion, but the world is a lot better that Stalin ruled that land than Hitler.

I guess that little dust up with the Finns prior to WW2 was just a misunderstanding.

Oh, and the Holodomor was caused by wreckers.

You just know the person who wrote this is an ANTIFA supporter. The Red Army totally didn't do it because they were bloodthirsty cunts, like any soldier that's been fighting a war long enough. They did it to teach a well-deserved lesson to these evil, non-combatant Nazis.

They starved to death millions of Ukrainians in a year. The choice between Stalin and Hitler was basically "we're going to chop off one of your hands with an axe. Do you want to keep your dominant or off hand?" You're probably going to die from blood loss first in either case.

I'll give it around 5-8 years before the reasonable users get perma'd or chased off by the SJW cult. Then, all that's left is the diversity circlejerk and speds like OP.

Oh give me a break. I'm quite familiar with Soviet imperialism/mass murder, but there's a big difference between "I want to kill everybody who opposes me in this country" and "I want to kill the ENTIRE country."

If Hitler had won Slavs wouldn't exist.

As promised, the autist who decided to make that sperg fic tried to revive it despite my giving them a chance to walk away, so hell with, I'm doxing their ass:

Their spergfic:

workPokemon Black and White: The Movie is an animated movie based on the 2010 video games Pokemon Black and White, written by Danielle/Bibo and animated by the "Pokémon Company Fans" (animators Danielle gathered). The movie is about Mellodi Sanders, a 16-year-old girl who gets a Pokémon despite her mother's hatred of them. She, her younger brother Matt, and her friends Cheren and Bianca embark on an adventure to complete the Pokédex for Professor Juniper. Along the way, Mellodi comes into conflict with crime syndicate Team Plasma and their psychotic leader N, and must decide between ideals and truth and what she wants to do in life. The film is currently in Development Hell. Read the script here!

Black & White: The Movie contains examples of
*Action Girl: Mellodi herself; but then there's Bianca (after she learns not everyone can become stronger and resolves to try her best) and Iris. Of course, we also have Lenora, Elesa, Skyla, Shauntal, and Caitlin. Come to think of it, every female Trainer is essentially an Action Girl.
*Adaptation Distillation:
**Cedric Juniper being Professor Juniper's brother instead of father.
**The Castelia Grande Night Club, which was only there to get the "subplot" of Mellodi's feelings for N going.
**The Trainers having names that weren't given in the original, like Zoe.
**Chase, being N's adopted brother that'd be the second in heir to the crown, is a new character created for this movie as well.
*Marshall being black.
*Adaptational Badass: The female player character, here called Mellodi. She's also an Adaptational Weirdo, being a self-insert of Danielle somewhat.
*Aerith and Bob: Names like Mellodi and Cheren alongside actual names like Bianca and Matt. And then there's the characters with Japanese names, like Ken and Junko. To say nothing of N.
*Affably Evil: N, dancing with Mellodi at the night club and offering her a ride on the Ferris wheel... where he reveals his true intentions.
*All Girls Want Bad Boys: Mellodi secretly likes N, until she learns he's the king of Team Plasma.
**Bianca and Iris liked N as well; Mellodi told them about N, so it's natural that they find him cute too. But when N reveals he leads Team Plasma, they snap out of it.
*Animated Adaptation: Of the first set of Generation V Pokémon games.
*The Anime of the Game: Anime movie. Danielle took The Girl Who Leapt Through Time as an inspiration.
*Animesque: The film looks like something out of the Pokémon anime.
*Annoying Younger Sibling: Mellodi considers Matt annoying and always takes the opportunity to tease him, even as she grows stronger and he genuinely looks up to her. It isn't until he saves her from Kyurem that she gains some respect for him.
*Ascended Meme: A Trainer references the Smugleaf meme when seeing Mellodi's Snivy: "Looks like "Smugleaf" to me."
*Author Phobia: Mellodi is scared of bats because Danielle is scared of them.
*Avoid the Dreaded G Rating: A few mild cuss words were added. It's rated PG.
*Big Applesauce: Unova is based on New York and New Jersey, especially Castelia City and Nimbasa City.
*Big Bad: For a while, it seems like N is the main villain of the film, but the twist comes at the end, where it's revealed Ghetsis was the main villain the entire time and he was just manipulating N. N reforms and confesses to Mellodi that A. he liked her (however, by this time, Mellodi's feelings towards N are gone) and B. he can't be in Unova anymore for fear of being arrested and he's decided to move to Fortree City in Hoenn to start a charity for lost Pokemon.
*Big Damn Heroes: Matt and Chase at the climax, where they save Mellodi from being frozen by Ghetsis' Kyurem, like N does in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
*Big OMG: Mellodi when her Pokedex registers Patrat. It's just a part of Mellodi's regular craziness.
*Bigger Bad: Ghetsis, considering he manipulated N. Need we say more?
*Blob Monster: Ditto is a benign example.
*Blush Sticker: Mellodi. A lot of the Pokémon have it too, like female Jellicent and Emolga.
*Brought to You by The Letter "S": Mellodi's sweater has the letter "M" on it. Besides that, it looks like a certain sweatshirt worn by a certain Ray Fisher...
*Buffy-Speak: Used in the e-mail Bianca sends out about the Team Plasma gala.
*The Cameo: Not many people notice it (even though Mellodi is laying on his shoulder), but Shadow Maybelline is in the crowd in the scene where Mellodi first enters Nimbasa City.
*Cheshire Cat Grin: N when he's being particularly creepy. Bannette and Gengar have one too.
*The Comically Serious: N's in this position many times, mainly at the night club when he tries to refuse to dance; and earlier on in Nacrene when Bianca asks him what his name stands for. So have Cheren and Brycen.
*Cool Big Sis: Anthea and Concordia to N and Mellodi to Matt.
*Crapsack World: Unova.
*Crush Blush: Mellodi to N... until she finds out he's the king of Team Plasma.
**She later has a more pleasant (to her) one when she meets Marshall of the Elite Four.
*Deadpan Snarker: Mellodi has a sharp sense of humor, and true to form, she also does it deadpan. Perhaps the best example is her witty response to N at Dragonspiral Tower. "Why's your name N, anyway? Next thing I know, you're gonna tell me that O is your mother and that M is your sister. Heck, let's just say that A, B, C, and D are your cousins, and that W, X, Y, and Z are your other siblings."
*Development Gag: "Hijhiy-WHAAAAAT?" is a reference to the original TV Tropes page for the film, written by Danielle under the moniker "Hijhiysonikku", a reference to Club Penguin cheater "HijhiyCP." The various things the admins said to her on TV Tropes would go on to be the insults Mellodi says to N.
**Mellodi remembers when she wanted to get a Pokemon when she was 8. According to Danielle, Mellodi was 8 in the first draft of the film. She later got aged up to 10, then to 12, 14, and finally 16 (the age the player characters are in the original games, by the way.)
***"Do little kids even have Pokemon?" is very, very true if you remember this.
**"Hey, maybe we could go on a vacation to Dekiru Resort if we get the money!" "No."
*Development Hell: Danielle is still writing the script for this film. She says it started when her fellow writer Jenny left and escalated from there.
**She's had the idea since January 2013. Fast forward 5 years later, when X and Y are 5 years old, and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have already came out, she's still writing the script.
**Thankfully, Danielle's imaginary friend, Martha, offered to write the script for her while she works on Mobius Redrawn. That means Danielle just writes the script for this movie anytime she thinks about it, though.
**When PlotBot went down ever since mid 2018, however...
*Disney Acid Sequence: "Sani Midaro" and "Takichuko."
*The Ditz: Bianca, who's usually flighty, and clumsy, but hard-working.
*Dumb Blonde: Zig-zagged with Bianca. She believes N's cute, but she is in a struggle to find out what she wants to do in life and has some pretty good ideas for her friends. And she talks to Mellodi about courage and overcoming fear before they enter Nacrene City.
*Eat the Camera: The camera zooms into Bianca's mouth when she screams that her Munna's been stolen.
*Five-Man Band
**The Heroine: Mellodi.
**The Lancer/The Smart Guy: Cheren.
**The Chick: Bianca.
**The Big Guy: Iris.
**The Sixth Ranger: Matt.
*Genius Ditz: Bianca may be clumsy, but she has some good ideas for herself and her friends, even devising the plan they use to sneak into the Team Plasma Gala.
*Getting Crap Past the Radar: The Pokémon League transport bus serves mint julips, according to Iris.
**Mellodi implies she wants N to have sex with her after they kiss at the night club. She wonders why the hell she said it afterwards, and regrets doing it, in a sort of "I Won't Say I'm in Love" moment.
*Gotta Catch Them All: Mellodi's goal, as well as to be on the TV show Masters Tournament.
*Gratuitous Disco Sequence: "Takichuko", then there's the entire nightclub sequence...
*Gratuitous Japanese: "Takichuko" is entirely sung in Japanese; the kanji for "Re'nai" is also flashed on the screen during the song.
**"Sono Lucky desu ka?" To which Mellodi replies, "Hai, desu."
**The "Kimi to Kimi no Pokémon!" program that is shown for a few seconds on Mellodi's TV.
**And of course the Japanese on the signs in Castelia City, just like in the original games. Matt saying, "Hey Melly. What does that sign say? I can't read it." "Game Freak, you dolt."
*Hearing Voices: N can supposedly hear things no one else can hear. After Mellodi defeats him and it turns out Ghetsis was using him, he stops hearing voices.
*The Knights Who Say Squee: Mellodi, Matt, and Bianca are big fans of the Daft Punk expy Hanomori. (Flower Forest)
*Megane: Cheren.
*Meganekko: Anthea wears glasses a few times, mainly when she's researching.
**Shauntal.
*Motor Mouth: N talks too fast, something lampshaded by Mellodi and actually done by the voice actor.
*Mushroom Samba: "Takichuko", which was caused by Mellodi eating too much sugar and hearing that N will be at a nightclub.
*One-Letter Name: N, which doesn't stand for anything.
*Painful Rhyme/Piss-Take Rap: Bianca tries to rap at the night club. There's about 4 badly-rhyming lyrics, and then she shouts "You know what they, you know what they, you know what they-TOAST!"
*Precision F-Strike: "Get the hell out of this house!"
*The Professor: Professor Juniper.
*Race Lift: Marshall is black in this movie, while in the games, it just looked like he was.
*Real Life Writes the Plot: Most of the material (including the name Mellodi) was based on a playthrough of Pokemon Black that Danielle did when she was 10. For the record, it lasted from December 2012 (she got it for Christmas and she originally wanted Black 2, she later regrets wanting it) to January 2013. However, the movie is vastly different from the playthrough: Snivy never evolved into Serperior, it got stored in the PC as Servine, and Simipour really sucked. Sawk was the strongest in the team, while in the movie it's second only to Serperior. Mellodi in the game never had a Chansey, Gengar, Mr. Mime, or Victreebel either.
*Rhymes on a Dime: Bianca attempts to do this while dancing with her friends at the night club in Castelia City, but fails.
*Sanity Slippage: N is going through this, providing an addition to his character in the games.
*Sanity Slippage Song: "Apples and Honey."
*Shorttank: Mellodi is a classic example. Iris has the personality, but not the clothes.
*Shout Out: Lots of them.
**"Takichuko" is a reference to Saturday Night Fever and Interstella 5555, and two of the dancers resemble Hong Meiling and Iku Nagae from Touhou.
**Hanomori is a shoutout to Daft Punk, complete with a French house-style song that's a Suspiciously Similar Song to "Around the World." Of course it was composed by Bibo.
**N's Slasher Smile is reminiscent of Pinkamena Diane Pie and Paranoid Twilight Sparkle's creepy faces.
**"Apples and Honey" is musically similar to "U.N. Owen was Her?" and arranges thereof, especially "Sweets Time." The first lyric in said song is even "Apples and honey." The lyrical content of "Apples and Honey," however, are similar to "Bad Apple!!" What with black and white, which could mean truth and ideals.
**Mellodi references TV Tropes's editing policy by saying "Rudeness is not cool."
**The climax, with the castle being destroyed as Mellodi is recording and narrating, is a shout-out to Cloverfield.
**Matt wishes there was a film about a giant Haxorus destroying a city with its' heat breath.
**The sounds for the Alien game on the Atari 2600 is heard on the game Mellodi is playing at the Opelucid Hotel while talking to Bianca.
**Mellodi's "impersonation" of Driftveil City's Gym Leader, Clay, is actually an imitation of a one-off character from Rocko's Modern Life. What she says is actually one of that character's lines.
**The "Kimi to Kimi no Pokémon!" show mentioned above is actually a reference to a commercial called "You and Your Johnson", made famous by The Nostalgia Critic.
**The last line of Bianca's rap mentioned above parodies the YouTube Poop Music Video "Big Beat Mario".
**Lots of Pokemon memes are referenced, including Smugleaf, "N can't", "N died for your sins", CATCH ALL THE POKEMON!, beautiful Stunfisk, Magikarp, and a few In Jokes, such as Bianca having an iPod with "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" on it (a reference to a Pokemon fanfic entitled "Forced Marriage" by LovelyNocturna).
***And some Pokemon episode titles too, like "It's Mr. Mime time!" and of course when Mellodi refers to Porygon as an "electric soldier."
**Again with the video game sound effects, Mass Effect 3 and Shadow the Hedgehog sound effects are heard on two separate occasions; both of which involve Mellodi playing a video game.
**The latter may imply why Mellodi says "Damn, not here!" after she falls on her bottom on Route 2.
**Marshall says "BOO-YAH!" like Cyborg at one point near the end.
**Mellodi's line to N during their first encounter in Accumula Town, "Why you crying?" is a reference to an episode of George Lopez with that title.
**Mellodi's later line to N, "Who are you talking to?" is a reference to the end of every episode of Little Bill.
**In the teaser storyboard for a possible sequel based on Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Mellodi (looking like Rosa) says at the very end "It's my room. What're YOU doin' here?"
*Slasher Smile: N. And it happens every time he says "liberation"... Matt even gets creeped out by this and tells Mellodi he wouldn't want him near his children. "You don't even have kids," Mellodi replies.
*Squee: Bianca does this a lot.
**Mellodi when she finds out N's at a nightclub.
*Talking to Themself: N does this on at least two separate occasions, the second being interrupted by Mellodi saying "Who are you talking to?"
*Title: the Adaptation
*Tomboy: Mellodi and Iris, and essentially every other female Pokemon Trainer too, including Bianca.
*Tomboy and Girly Girl: Mellodi and Bianca/Iris and Bianca.
*Tsundere: Mellodi acts this way towards N to the very start, however she drops the "dere" after N reveals who he really is on the Ferris wheel ride, and remains "tsuntsun" until the end of the film when she finds out what's really going on and apologizes. She likes him as a friend only by the end of the film.
*What Could Have Been: There was originally going to be a sequel to this film, following Mellodi (who had moved to Aspertia City) as she goes on a new adventure 2 years later, based on the sequels to the games. Danielle dropped this idea very early in production. However, she may have returned to the idea and it might become a reality soon, as there has been a storyboard released of Mellodi styling her hair like Rosa (the female player character in the games)'s and then saying "It's my room. What're YOU doin' here?"
**Mellodi was 8 in the original draft, and would have been 10 in the sequel. Soon, Mellodi got aged up to 10, then 12, then 14, then 16. Danielle is very glad she changed the age, as she now finds it way creepy that Mellodi was going to be 8. She still makes a reference to her original age early on in the film.
**Matt was going to be called "Matthew" and be Mellodi's friend. Later on, the name shortened and he became her younger brother.
**Danielle wanted Venus Terzo to voice Mellodi for the longest time. However, she realized she couldn't contact Terzo, and she herself voiced Mellodi.
**N was going to speak in Iburthian way more, and Mellodi's crush on him would have been more obvious (i.e. not tsundere and just deredere), even saying "I still love you!" after their first encounter. Of course, as Danielle evolved, so did the script for the film.
**A live-action short film based on the Generation V games entitled Dumb Angel was going to be made by Danielle, and Mellodi would have been mentioned. A girl named Diana would have been the protagonist. However, Dumb Angel is being remade as an animated short based on Danielle's brother's current playthrough of Black, only with a girl as the protagonist (wearing different clothes.) Mellodi does not get mentioned.
**For those of you remember hij's page, you might remember the GoAnimate shout-out. Danielle took that out because she didn't want anything like that to be in a serious, possible award-winning fan film.
***Same goes for the Club Penguin shout-out.
**Mellodi would have originally had an Oshawott in the film, but Danielle remembered that in the playthrough she based the movie on, Mellodi had a Snivy.
**Mellodi and Cheren were originally going to start a relationship at the end of the film, as Mellodi would have returned Cheren's feelings. Danielle revised it so Mellodi and Marshall would start a relationship to reflect her current preferences.
*What Happened to the Mouse?: Lampshaded when Bianca asks Mellodi where her brother Matt is. Mellodi tells her that he's probably got his first gym badge by now.
*Who's on First?: Bianca asks N what his name stands for. N replies "nothing". Bianca thinks his name stands for "Nothing", and N yells "No, N does not stand for anything!"
*Wraparound Background: The beginning and end of "Takichuko", and when the Houndoom is chasing Mellodi in the Moor of Iccirus.
*Villain Song: "Apples and Honey".

Other autism:

creatorDanielle is a Jersey-raised musician, voice actress, scriptwriter, and illustrator. Xe's an insecure, transgender teenager who loves sci-fi and DC Comics. Xe and xir works can be easily compared to Garth Ennis and his works, only Danielle is younger and brighter. Xir music can be compared to that of Moloko and Daft Punk.

Xir most notable creations are Cyborg: The Animated Series, Adventures of the Justice League, Alphabet Soup (co-created with a friend of xirs), Toonami: The Untold Adventures, Swayzak, a webcomic set in the DC universe called Super Zero, the nostalgic Mobius Redrawn, Hanran (under Memiko Otaka), and the not-so-bad Pokemon Black and White: The Movie. Person of a Thousand Voices. Xe can also really sing (though in the early era, xe couldn't, and got other people to sing xir lyrics.) Prominent in the vaporwave/future funk scene under the name "futureウェイブ(wave)," makes other music under the leader and one third of "Bibo," and has released an album full of random songs called "muzak n shit" under the name "danny."

Hey man describe Danielle here suckers
*Action Girl: Most of xir creations have female protagonists, like Mellodi, or prominent female characters, like Mokou. Special mention goes to Wonder Woman, obviously, in Super Zero.
**Hilarious in Hindsight when Danielle became transgender in late March 2019.
*Animesque: Every single of xir creations. All of xir characters, even xir renditions of the DC cast, are drawn in a sort of Japanese style.
*Art Shift: Super Zero is mostly done in a Walfas style, except for Cyborg, who is rendered in Danielle's typical Animesque style (different from his animated series.)
*Artifact Title: This page's title is from an era in Danielle's life where xe refused to give out xir last name in xir "productions." Nowadays, xe just goes under the pseudonym "Bibo."
*Author Avatar: Etsuko Kanamura from Toonami: The Untold Adventures and Superchick in Cyborg: The Animated Series.
**Additionally, one can see xir influences applied to Shadow Maybelline.
*Author Appeal: Xe's got autism/Asperger's syndrome, so xe's pretty interested in certain things that'll of course pop up in xir works, as recurring motifs even.
**Xir favorite sci-fi cliche is the Fantastic Voyage Plot. Xe's a master at writing it. Expect almost every sci-fi work xe creates to have an episode with that plot. For example, Toonami: The Untold Adventures has "Brain Chase" and Cyborg: The Animated Series has "Operation: Micro." Even better, Danielle has done a lot of medical research out of xir fondness for them.
**If a disease is contracted by a character in any of xir works, the main symptom will usually be itching, and the character will be Always Male. Xe has no idea why, but xe just likes it.
**The love interests of xir female characters are usually black.
**Most of xir characters are Jewish or half-Jewish probably because of Gilda Radner (Danielle's favorite SNL performer and inspiration.)
**Playing on our Primal Fear. Xe ends up freaking xirself out.
*Badass Biker: Xe can ride a motorcycle. You can thank Batgirl.
*Badass Bookworm: Due to xir Asperger's, xe loves researching things. If xe sees something that interests xir, of course xe's gonna research the topic for hours on end to see if whatever interested xir the most about it's true or not. However, xe hates reading in real life (minus comics), instead preferring to read things on the computer.
*Bishonen:
**Cyborg in his animated series, Adventures of the Justice League, and Super Zero.
**Also from AotJL, Batwing.
**And Shadow Maybelline. Good god.
*Bishoujo: The main female characters in xir Animesque creations are usually these types. Proof? Supergirl and Lois Lane.
*Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Xir song "Sabotage" is about one.
*Body Horror:
**Common in xir sci-fi work. It plays on our Primal Fear, so expect to see a lot of nasty things like holes in human skin and stuff. Even Danielle is freaked out by xir own imagination and claims xe hates the fact xe finds these things interesting. Then there's xir DC manuscripts, one of which contains a story where Cyborg's face is somehow mutated into... someTHING.
**Or that one teratoma short story.
*Brainy Brunette: Xe's got brown hair, wears glasses, and is very smart.
*Cool Bike: Xir motorcycle.
*Department of Redundancy Department: Xe sometimes talks like this without knowing.
*Eye Scream: See Body Horror above. "Classics" like Victor Stone getting holes in his right eye are prime examples of when a teenager's mind can produce things downright terrifying. To say nothing of Cyborg contracting some kind of "teethed eye" infection affecting his human eye in xir novel Cyborg: Quarantine...
*Gratuitous Japanese: Xe can actually speak fluent Japanese. The track "call cyborg (japanese)" on xir album "muzak n shit" was written entirely xirself, even though xe took the Japanese Teen Titans theme and changed a good chunk of its words.
*Hearing Voices: Subverted. Xir song "The Voice in My Head" is about how we can hear our voices in our mind when we think.
*Hollywood Tone Deaf: In the early era, whenever xe sang, xe could not raise xir voice or else it would crack and xe would not sound good. Xe had to raise the volume using the Compressor on Ableton. And xe couldn't figure out how to match xir voice with the tempo unless xe used a metronome, leading for it to be present in the recordings. (Thankfully, it was usually covered up by the music.) Even then, xir singing voice sounded like "Mickey Mouse on cocaine." Thankfully, xe got other people to sing xir lyrics on xir songs and thanks to music class in xir senior year of high school, xe can now sing.
*Imaginary Friend: Has a multitude of these. They're basically just snowclones of xirself based on who xe wishes xe was. On the Internet, xe describes them as "xir playing an ARG." It's kind of sad, there are many bad rumors about them, and she wishes she stopped having them. Xir song aptly titled "Imaginary Friend" goes into further detail on this.
*In the Style Of:
**"Love Me So" is in the style of 60s girl groups.
**"Taking Our Singing and Dancing" is in the style of 80s synthpop, as is "Everybody's Dancin'."
**"Miya Miya" is in the style of J-pop.
**"Takichuko" is in the style of disco.
**"Let's Have Fun Tonight" is in the style of more mainstream Daft Punk (i.e. Random Access Memories.)
**Most of xir non-sample based music like "Subject Zero," "Mind Wyrm" and "being watched by Grid." is in the style of early Moloko, or in the style of 90s house. (for example, "Lights Out" and "Give Me Life.").
*Intercourse with You: Xir song "being watched by Grid." could technically be this kind of song. For a more straight example, there's "Let's Have Fun Tonight."
*Meganekko: Xe wears glasses, though xe's not a girl (anymore.)
*Memetic Mutation:
**The usage of the same tropes across several of xir works has become a meme, as has the name for it, "Thematic Schematic."
**You're bringing me down, man!
**i am stupid
**"OH, NO!"
**"I regret what I have done." (on learning that Shadow Maybelline has become a popular fangirl target and there's lots of R34 of him)
**"SHUT UP! STOP THINKING ABOUT HOW COMPLEX IT IS! SHUT UP!"
*Obliviously Evil: Why xe's listed as a lolcow on Encyclopedia Dramatica (under xir old moniker of "Sonbreezie.") Danielle says to ignore that page and that most of the things listed xe doesn't do anymore, and that one of them is a misunderstanding, the truth of which xe sadly can't tell the person who started it. And to ignore the one person who actually believed that page (it was XIR fault xe didn't get to explain everything to them, though.)
*Old Shame: All of xir old works, especially the Otaka Mega Man Shorts. In some cases, xe's yelled "What the fuck was I thinking during this time?" but in other cases, xe's said "They were made at a different time, before I actually KNEW what was best for me, in my eventual case it was DC. I don't disown them completely, but hell if I want to!"
**A thankfully never gotten off the ground Let's Play of sorts called Sonbreezie's Final Fantasy Legend 2. And because it has the "Sonbreezie" name on it, you know it's going to suck.
**Some of xir early drafts for a comic book series about Swayzak xe looks back on in shame, again, thinking "WHAT WAS I THINKING?" They were full of Fetish Fuel and other unacceptable, disturbing things xe thought was okay to say xe found hot back then. And how Swayzak is portrayed as a Mr. Fanservice God Mode Mary Sue (God Mode Sue) who ALWAYS wins because apparently having to lose is unfair despite the fact that he's the villain. And everybody acts accordingly to what he says. Xir current Swayzak comic series is a more toned-down version of this, but only so Swayzak can have the recognition and positiveness towards him he deserves, and he does get defeated in some issues. And the DC version has Swayzak written as if he was like any other character.
*Only One Name: Xe refused to give out xir last name for a while, which is why this page doesn't include xir last name or isn't titled "Bibo" (as it was created in aftermentioned period of time.)
*Perverse Sexual Lust: For Cyborg. Xe also claims Grid "is hot as a flame spreading" due to his voice.
*Playing Against Type: All the time. Case in point: xir Cyborg manuscripts contain some really fucking horrifying material at various points, but compare and contrast to xir Swayzak manuscripts, which are poignant Space Opera and Lighter and Softer.
*Precocious Crush: On Ray Fisher and/or Joivan Wade. That is, if it's not Cyborg himself. (Which it is most of the time.)
*Sci-Fi: One of the newer Sci-Fi authors out there, but xir works are still a fun read.
*Self-Insert Fic: One of xir DC manuscripts is a solo comic about xir author avatar, Superchick from Cyborg: The Animated Series.
**Xir initial scripts for Pokemon Black and White: The Movie were originally a glorified self-insert fanfiction nobody but xir and other immature fangirls of FerrisWheelShipping would enjoy, but evolved over time as Danielle grew up and xir mindset matured. Some of Mellodi's character in the final product is still based on Danielle, though. (Like xir preferences toward black guys.)
*Shown Their Work: Common thing for xir to do, especially if xe's writing a common sci-fi cliche like a Fantastic Voyage Plot episode.
**Xir research on computers done for the original Swayzak comic series.
*Small Name, Big Ego: Even now today xe's pretending xe's more well known than xe actually is, like this page. (Written from the perspective from a fan of me as a young adult. Doubt anyone is actually going to read this; if one does, I'm just fooling around. Most of these things I am actually doing/going to do, though.)
*Stalker with a Crush: Xir song "being watched by Grid." is a song written from the perspective of Grid, one of xir favorite DC Comics villains, as he obsesses over, and imagines getting it on with, Cyborg (though their names are not mentioned in the lyrics.) It was inspired by a similar song about this trope, "Day for Night" by Moloko.
*Stalker Without a Crush: Xe actually stalked someone in xir youth; xir song "Leave You Alone" goes more in detail on this. Xe's glad xe realized what xe was doing was wrong and claims it was "a terrible way to grow up."
*The Stoner: Xe frequently talks like xe's stoned. Xe also uses binaural beats to get high, as Cyborg has made xir drug-free.
*Suspiciously Similar Song: One of xir early songs, "Startling," sounds a bit aesthetically similar to "Starlight" by The Supermen Lovers ft. Mani Hoffman. Xe's said it inspired xir when xe made xir song, though xe had no intention to make it sound audibly similar.
*Teen Genius: OK, not a genius, but still. Xe was sixteen when xe started xir WordPress site and xir first published work was released. To drive the point home, that Pokemon thing? Xe's been working on the script for that since xe was thirteen, and xe came up with the idea for it when xe was ten!
**Xe's self-taught in Japanese and audio production. Xe also knows how to play the bass, the guitar, the piano, and the drums. You can thank one of xir idols, Bill Wurtz, and an episode of Saturday Night Live from 1976. Xe composes all the music to xir shows on a Yamaha MODX6 keyboard xe received for Christmas 2018. Xe's also released an album with songs similar to those of Bill Wurtz called "muzak n shit," the genre being "wurtz."
*Television Is Trying to Kill Us: It messed up xir views, gave xir anxiety, and along with high school is the reason xe's screaming "STOP THINKING ABOUT HOW COMPLEX IT IS!" all the time.
*Word of God: Xe suffers from anxiety (thinking about how complex things are) and playing video games or writing scripts helps xir. Sonic in particular, as when you go fast in the game, it feels like you're flying through the stage and you're invincible, and to Danielle it represents xir escaping xir anxiety. (And xe likes the music.) Also Scribblenauts for obvious reasons.
*Word Salad Lyrics: Common in xir songs, and probably inspired by Moloko. "Ecstasy" anyone?
*Word Salad Title: One of xir earlier tracks is called "Cyborg's Brainstem." There is a meaning to the title; however, the connection between it and the music is none.
Holy shit, I'm getting Fantendo Wiki flashbacks.

I agree for the most part, but in a different manner.

Honestly, the problem was NOT the pages in and of themselves. It's entirely possible to have a reasonably detached analysis of a work with pornographic material, but the problem is TV Tropes' mods fell asleep at the wheel and didn't enforce doing so until it was far too late. Hell, they even ENCOURAGED the creepiness at times. (Fetish Fuel was Fast Eddie's creation)

Trying to toss out the articles (with the objective facts alone) with the creepy additions (by the perverts who couldn't quit jerking off while writing on said articles) was just trying to kill the goose to get more eggs. Had they enforced their "don't type with one hand" rules more stringently from day one, they could have avoided a lot of pain.

Second, I get being under the gun of advertisers, but honestly, I'm not so sure they were as dominant in the cutting of content anymore. Yes, they had a role at one point, but now they don't and their policies are still to ban material cut when they were a factor, and in some cases have gone even farther.

Now, the censorship is entirely willful, not a product of bowing to outside pressure. If anything, I'm becoming more and more convinced the advertisers were a great excuse to start purging content and the woke era taking over just made them convinced they had done the right thing all along.

Worse, the woke era has replaced things with politicized bullshit leaking into what should be informal yet objective analysis of fiction, which is terrible in a different way but no less cancerous.

The wiki itself will more than likely run for longer when/if the forums collapse. Only problem is that it'll all become one big autism singularity once that day comes as the forumers start sperging pages up more than they already are. And I'm not wholly unconvinced that it's already happening as we speak.

In an optimistic world both would fall at the exact same time, thus killing two birds with one stone. But again, that's only in a more optimistic world.

Continuing the trend of "stupid shit on TVT," we have:

Something that @GethN7 will likely torch once he finds it on Wikia.

The deleted section (which we don't have, thankfully) didn't belong anyway, and I would also kill such with fire for being prurient and offtopic. The page itself is otherwise fine as a listing of objective reactions of creators to porn made of their creations, since it has an impact on their work and reaction to fan works.

TV Tropes is garbage. Used to be a nice place to read some critical analysis of works and learn the building blocks of stories, but Tropers have a really bad habit of trying to fit every trope they can into one work.

It becomes slightly more palatable once you realize tv tropes is just a collaborative blog made by way too excitable nerds that pretends to be an objective fact-based wiki.

Is on the "Video Games/Radar" page on Wikia. I pointed it out back in March, but at least we know who's been writing that kind of crap.
