No, it actually isn't ever "Japanese word salad" or whatever, let alone another one. Frankly it shouldn't matter since it isn't actually a TV Tropes thing except them listing something that exists but I will explain.OK... what is with the Fate/whatever serieses? That another one of those japanese word salad show/series/movies/games?
It's like... Fate/Stay night. What the fuck does that even mean?
Fate/Zero. Ok, it's a better title than the previous, but still, why?
And there are at least 2 or 3 more.
When translating japanese titles, is it that the japanese are prone to naming things really fucking stupid shit, or are the translators the ones that are dumb fucks?
No, it actually isn't ever "Japanese word salad" or whatever, let alone another one. Frankly it shouldn't matter since it isn't actually a TV Tropes thing except them listing something that exists but I will explain.
Some of the titles are actually pretty self explanatory in context and it goes for how many more titles there are that weren't brought up. (2 or 3 or more) Fate/Stay night speculative so that might just be intentionally open to interpretation. Who knows, I don't think there has ever been a stance taken for that name. Fate/Zero is a prequel, which is why that title makes sense like zero, one, two, three, essentially. It's more interesting than calling it "Fate the prequel", canonically it's the first therefore it's "zero." So no it's not a matter of when somebody is translating Japanese titles, sometimes the words in the title are Japanese but that doesn't make it "word salad". So no, it isn't that the Japanese are prone to naming things badly or as you said "really fucking stupid shit" which is rather awkward and nearly incoherent in itself to say which is slightly ironic, or even that the translators are the ones that are dumb fucks.
It's more that it depends on the context. It's not because anybody (Japanese or not) thinks the names are cool either necessarily though some people might. Titles like that honestly are a subjective topic, it doesn't matter if they do think it's cool. There honestly isn't any deeper meaning except the context, that's it. Not something to sperg on about. I think this was brought up for Kamen Rider, again it's kind of easy to understand actually if you, well, bother to. You don't have to of course if you don't care at all, but just saying that it's rather autistic to criticize something at face value like a name.
Nasu isn't a chuuni though, he's an average (or well below average, depending on your point of view) writer but not the world's oldest chuuni, he didn't even make all of the names himself and it shouldn't matter anyways. No offense but it is a tad autistic to lash out at TV Tropes indirectly by criticizing something as trivial as a title for something they listed because it exists. Who cares, Nasu's not a troper is he? He isn't so it doesn't actually matter. Though Stay/Night doesn't have any concrete meaning that I know of, I will concede that point. It doesn't really matter to me personally. Maybe it is just that some works in Japan are given names not meant to mean anything but I don't know if they think it's cool or if some japanese creators do it just because.
I am sorry if my explanation or anything else I said sounded unnecessary or autistic or like sperging to anybody (Won't blame you if you do), I don't really consider myself a fan of the Fate series, just trying to be informative about something that appears to be misunderstood here. After the year of torture on the CM cleanup I eventually understood that even that thread for whatever interesting topics there were, it was still agony to talk to the tropers there that I now notice way more frequently when somebody does or doesn't do research.
Research is virtually non existent on that website, it's either SJW cancer, or trying to make it a point that everybody's opinion is valid, even the opinions that contradict the other opinions, it's like a psychotic religion there. I don't mind if you don't do research, I do kind of mind criticizing or worshipping something you might not understand though and that's what those autists at TV Tropes do all the fucking time to the point they will treat you like absolute shit even if you are polite about correcting them on something they don't get.
I know it might be annoying to be told you are wrong about something, but everybody is able to be wrong sometimes about something. Don't care if they list works that have names that might be slightly confusing, that's not relevant to the actual community anyways, but for a website that claims to advocate writing advice they are inconsistent as shit for that as well.
TV Tropes tries to (or unintentionally) make things look either far worse, or far better than they actually are and tropers will act in a fashion as though they are implying what they are saying is fact but still say "it's just opinion guys". I am not on the site anymore because I would prefer to retain some of my sanity instead of dealing with the shit on that drama infested website.
Mainly what I was saying is it's somewhat disproportionate to criticize something as trivial as a name that might be confusing as first without context when that isn't actually relevant to the kind of shit the community says and does in and of itself. It's a separate topic nearly nobody actually cares about. Look, I don't mind if people talk about or enjoy whatever, games, anime, movies, comics, shows, an art style, I don't care, that's subjective what you like or dislike anyways.
What I care about is when I am treated like shit for being neutral about politics on a website like TV Tropes, saying anything even remotely able to be misconstrued as "offensive" or even just having to diffuse those kind of exceptional political arguments by being the only voice of reason present on the CM thread, like I said, it's like a fanatical religion. I guess you could say that for some of the fandoms there as well in that they act like a cult.
That was the only thing I ever did on the site since it was the only thing that ever interested me there but even that was fucked up by them constantly bringing up politics on an irrelevant subject. Like, who cares about whether or not something isn't "politically correct"? Who unironically acts like Donald Trump is Hitler? Nobody who is emotionally mature does.
I don't have anything against anybody here, in fact the thread here helped me have a broader understanding of the kind of behavior the community has and I appreciate that. I am just giving my thoughts on this topic is all and this will be the only post I make here anyways since I don't have alot to say that hasn't already been said. I personally think it's a little petty to lash out at them just because of what they like.
It's perfectly acceptable to speak negatively of shit that pertains to them as a community since that is the topic the thread is actually named after, not something abstract like the names of something they listed, that's not even relevant to them as a community. That's what any Trope site does when listing a work of fiction, the name will be mentioned except the name in and of itself has nothing to do with the site or community itself.
Criticize the autists, not everything they look at is essentially what I am saying. Still, I appreciate the insight provided by this thread. Now I know what exactly is going on there. Sorry if this post is a little inconvenient to read through though for the amount of text there is. Also sorry if anything here came off as autistic or as sperging or anything exceptional. I don't mean this as an attack or anything either, just calling it by how I see things. (I know I have repeated a couple of points several times in a slightly different fashion, I just thought it would help me be more precise in what I mean)
Just one question though, was TV Tropes as a site ever good overall at any point in its existence? I genuinely don't know since it is pretty remarkable that a site can become that irreparably fucked if it was ever a good site to start.
Damn, I wish I could rate both of you fuckers dumb more than once. TVTropes drank the kool-aid so hard that they have no idea that they ingested it and have turned the site into a graffiti wall.Yeah, I don't care about if somebody thinks is autistic or not, it's like asking for dislikes, it doesn't matter since the definition is loose as hell anyways. I won't blame you if you think it is autistic. If it's 2 or more? That's okay. Fine by me. See you.

I know right? Just a bunch of stupid fucking word saladYou really expect us to read all that shit?
What word? Miscarriage? Maimed? Medical Miracle? I honestly don't even knowNever change, TVTropes
Internet Backdraft: In Latin America, the company responsible for the distribution of the series (FOX Premium) decided to include inclusive language for its subtitled version, which can not be changed since these subtitles are hardcoded into the video. This caused the annoyance of people in social networks, which rejected these changes through ironic comments and reproaches about how inclusive language harms the Spanish language.

- Keep Circulating the Tapes: If any Latin American viewer want to see this series without the infamous gender-inclusive subtitles, the only way to watch is by using fansubs. This is one of those rare cases when subtitles made by fans (ironically, the Latin American subsidiary of FOX is against digital piracy) are much better than the official, legal, ones.
I feel like it's time to bust this out againYou can always count on "Latin American" tropers to be a bunch of whiny entitled faggots.
Bond would be a troon.Makes me wonder what would happen if someone decided to do a 'woke' version of Bond???
- In Suburban Knights, The Nostalgia Critic had no idea how mini his skirt is until it was pointed out to him. Lupa and The Nostalgia Chick have to teach him to act like a "lady". Deconstructed in his reviews. Being "innocent" and naive gets him raped at least three times and stalked once. His determination for someone to like him led him to trust Spoony again in the charity drive despite Spoony already having drugged and raped him. It's telling that when they all come out again with Linkara being the hero and make Spoony apologize, the others look angry while he just looks broken.
- Another Doug character, Chester A. Bum is another deconstruction, not even played for fanservice like Critic. Being homeless and often drug-addled, he unwillingly gets into off-screen situations like prostitution fairly often.

(BTW, does anyone know what Tropers think of this meme? because I'm pretty sure their opinion towards it is going to be exceptional.)
What I feel after watching Asian cartoons is my eyes bleeding out of my skull. (Fucking strobe effects)Fate/Stay Night refers to the nights you'll be staying up jerking off to chinese cartoons.
Fate/Zero is named like that for being a prequel.
Fate/hollow ataraxia translates to "hollow tranquility", which is what you will feel after jerking off to chinese cartoons.

Fanfics getting their own trope pages is hilarious, you can just hear the tards going "look, I'm on a website, my fanfic has tropes, I'M FAMOUS! VALIDATE ME!" Especially when it has subpages for Heartwarming, Tearjerker, Awesome Moments, and half those moments are basically "this thing made ME go 'awwww'/cry my eyes out/cheer, so clearly it made other people do the same! I have no proof, but it's obviously true!"Or Fallout: Equestria.
