So are tropers like Jim Carrey in The Cable guy getting the entirety of their education about life from watching cartoons and movies?Only without any self awareness? The fact that they have a trope called some anvils need to be dropped would strongly imply that.

Nearly every trope relating around morals and Aesops come across as such.

Then again, sometimes it comes across as such within the source material itself, so it's kind of a double-edged sword. It's just that one's more inherently more autistic than the other.

The "Some Anvils Need to be Dropped" trope is when something's really overly preachy, but it's about something the random person adding an entry thinks is really important.

Obviously this can only lead to stupidity.

Ambiguous Disorder.

Or "Everyone Is Autistic: The Trope".

Goes without saying that Steven Universe and MLP have sizeable entries.

If TV Tropes actually bothers to burn down all the literally autistic projection from its userbase, the site would end being one hundred times better.
note that one hundred times zero is still zero

Universal truth right here.

Even this very thread is a projection playground, with people re-litigating their talk page slap fights.

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DiscreditedTrope this page has a lot of interesting stuff.Obviously the asian store owner trope is an incredibly racist thing to depict these days and they mention Apu from The Simpsons.
Seriously, TV Tropes!?

Tanning is now blackface? The fuck!?

So according to TVTropes going to the beach at summer is racist and problematic, I guess. Appropriating black / arab culture or something.

So I just saw the Discredited Trope page, and it's really...Half and half. While some parts are informative, others are really "well duh" in the things they comment, and others are just the typical reaching for reasons to be offended "tanning is racist" "age gaps are abusive". These people just don't seem to have fun with anything or something.

Asian store owners are racist now too? Maybe it's because I don't live in the USA, but I thought that had a smidgen of truth? At least here in Europe most/ all of the store owners are typically Pakistanis or the like...

It's entirely because of that re.tarded "The Problem with Apu" documentary.
