I guess it's only "your mileage my vary" if it's the editors mileage too

Admittingly, this is a pretty normal gripe for a lot of readers of the book but no other article I've seen has this warning of DON'T FUCKING HAVE AN OPINION

Trust me, that isn't the only article. So many people hated Gundam SEED Destiny at one point they turned all the pages for it into a massive shitfest, forcing them to put up a similar warning.

Some works are such flame bait that they have no choice but to tell people to calm the fuck down, sad as that is.

Children, the lot of them. Every retarded user on there is a child, no ifs ands or buts.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WMG/DeepImpact Some more absurd speculation from tropers.Because POTUS in Deep Impact is black then the movie is anti-black because a comet hits the Earth killing millions.Sometimes i wonder if some tropers are not intentionally making this as a joke to parody the SJW tendencies of TVtropes in general. But still the fact that such speculation is allowed to begin with says a lot.

OH MY GOD, THOSE EXAMPLES!
Has WMG gotten worse, or was it always this autistic?

  • The rollout for the fifth season of Arrested Development has been largely overshadowed by questions about whether or not it was a good idea for the show to retain Jeffrey Tambor in the wake of allegations about his behavior in Transparent. Jason Bateman and David Cross made things worse with an interview in which they both vigorously defended Tambor, even as co-star Jessica Walters revealed that Tambor had been verbally abusive towards her.

The Overshadowed by Controversy page can be summed up in two words: who cares?

Have of the time, it's not even controversy.
Seriously, go on that page and count the "examples" that are either
A. negative reception (not controversial)
or
B. Butthurt fanboyism.

It's a shame, too, because I genuinely enjoyed the pages on Money Dear Boy, The Alleged Car, and (unsurprisingly) Blazing Inferno Hellfire Sauce.

Sigh. It's the Internet. There Will Be Drama.

"[insert character here] is a Time Lord" is a common theory on many WMG pages, so yeah, :autism:.
And it's often in the most ridiculous places possible. For example, they said a character in The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin (which is aimed at young kids) was one. You know they love their Doctor Who when they compare a character in a preschool show to one.
Here are two more ridiculous pages: tropes that should be the names of rock bands, and tropes that should be the names of television shows. Here are some ridiculous quotes from them:

What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: Grindcore band whose lyrics are all entirely child-friendly (when you can understand them).
Nobody Poops: A mix of techno and orchestral, going for epic sci-fi so hard they fall into the bizarrely awesome domain: but the lyrics are about humanity's failures of imagination.
20% More Awesome: American sitcom about a bunch of Bronies.
Depraved Kids' Show Host: A biopic of Jimmy Savile. Ends with a psychiatrist analyzing the Doctor's dream.
Five-Token Band: Spinoff of Glee. Fed up with Finn and Rachel always getting the solos and wanting to try an edgier sound, Kurt, Mercedes, Artie, and Tina quit show choir and form their own garage band along with a blind drummer.
Nightmare Fuel: Some kind of metal-punk hybrid. Who may choose to always play the chord progressions of the 1989 PBS ident, before playing a power chord, where the last of the ident's chords would be, that leads into or begins their song.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The remaining members of Nightmare Fuel after dumping their dead-weight lead singer. Their first album was recorded before they found a new one, so it's mostly instrumentals, and the few songs with lyrics, are either sung by a different band member each time or, in one case, shuttles between members. One of those instrumentals is their creepy metal cover of the 1989 PBS ident alone. Their second album was all covers; by that time, they'd picked up a lead singer with a really weird falsetto. Became Nightmare Fuel when the remaining members begin experimenting with Throbbing-Gristle-esque industrial and noise. With another cover of the 1989 PBS ident to boot. Do not listen to after the sun is down if you enjoy being able to sleep.
Here's the logo they're calling scary in this case:

20% More Awesome: American sitcom about a bunch of Bronies.
I...don't get it? What does that title have to do with bronies at all?

Found this in the trivia page.

Flame Bait: The author knows that having the twins get spanked in one chapter could be this, but doesn't care. However, he does disallow people to argue about it.
WARNING!: This chapter will contain light disciplinary spanking. I know some people may have a problem with that, but it's solely an act of discipline done briefly to the twins, and that is not going to be the focus of this chapter. I'm not going to get into a debate about whether spanking a child is ever okay, and I will delete any (the word any is underlined) comments that lead to a Flame War. So please be civil and leave the debate out of this and all chapters, thank you.

If he didn't care, then why isn't he allowing discussion? Isn't flame bait trying to intentionally get people to argue?
