Technically speaking the forum and wiki are by no means disparate entities in terms of coding, but they might as well be in terms of culture.

And I'm rather glad to see one of the sacred cows TV Tropes jerks off being stripped of its grace. In fact, it might be vaguely bearable if still autistic if they are forced to backpedal on all the crap they've flogged to death and turned into sacred cows that shit up every corner of the site.

Might as well wait to see if every other sacred cow will be stripped of its grace. Might as well fix that on ATT, where the grace is the pages original to ATT and not a third rate webshow. Though the fact that it took a huge scandal and not after demo reel makes this :optimistic:.

Tropers will fail to realize the joke as they go over what sort of tropes and fandom sperging to apply on a work.

Honestly speaking the whole 'some anvils need to be dropped' trope is among the worst alongside the values dissonance and unfortunate implications one.It sort of says a lot about tropers who judge the value or lack thereoff based on how 'progressive' something is.

Channel Awesome got a lot of traffic in the early years thanks to TVTropes. They were humbled by this (it's the closest most of them come to getting a real Wiki page) and tend to toss shout-outs their way. There's also a high overlap between Tropers and TGWTG fans, so their way of boosting their favorite reviewer/show how much they love their content is to fill up the TVTropes page with drivel.

Even today, they still fellate Dong Wanker like he's the second coming of Christ, despite the fact that Channel Autism basically imploded and the only people left are a friend of is and someone who just wants to watch it burn while sitting in the front row. Even then, there are better movie review channels, better cinematic universes, and better friend simulators, but it's just Doug Walker on full blast.

Kind of ironic then that these days, Channel Awesome is reduced to the Critic and Guru Larry. An angry Internet celebrity and a British guy who probably forgot he's on there still technically, what a duo.
