I think a lot of people that get nitpicky about Jojo (and a lot of manga in general) forget how a lot of shonen serialization is done week by week for that week. The reason for a lot of Araki’s mistakes or strange choices in writing (“why did Avdol almost die but then come back?”, “why didn’t they use hermit purple to find Kira in part 4?”) can be attributed to the “fly by the seat of your pants” nature that a lot of manga is written with.

Are you sure this was a person and not a cat with impeccable typing skills?

That's an explanation, not an excuse. You can still say that's not a good way to write anything.

I don't like NaNoWriMo for the same reason. Take time with your work, so it doesn't come out a jumbled mess.

According to this page, this character is Nightmare Fuel.

It's just a cute animal! How can it be scary?
This post reminds me of how ridiculous the Nightmare Fuel page for Vanity Plates is. Most of them aren't even scary at all, especially the Disney ones! I mean, who gets scared of this logo just because the music's a bit different? And "this video shouldn't be watched in the dark?" It reminds me more of how CBS shows a show's logos before they cut to their own set of credits. What are these people thinking?

They are thinking about shitting their bowels over the most mundane things.

I know, I don't get it. The only one that I can understand is the old THX logo with that loud fucking noise it makes, but only as a child (Sure as hell made me plug my ears as a kid everytime I heard the beginning of it...), as an adult, who the fuck cares?

Don't know if this has been posted yet. But anyway, I found this some time ago reading the Wild Mass Guessing tab of Super Sentai.

Apparently porn is a reliable tool for fan-theories.

There's actually an entire community of total autists who sperg out about being afraid of closing logos. We have a thread on them.

The only one I can think of is the Dreamworks logo they use for scary movies. They used it in The Ring. Of course, that's actually intended to be spooky.

"My God, What Have I Done?: Tommy tells Dil not to tell anyone about his fear of water, leading Angelica to intimidate him into telling and Angelica to push him into the water, leading to him bumping his head and nearly drowning."

The author should have gone the whole way and just had a Rugrats battle royale situation go down.

You think that's bad?

"The Reason You Suck" Speech: Dil to Angelica in "Tommy's Fear"
Dil: "This is all your fault Yucky, if you didn't try to make him gets in the water this never would of happened! Now my onlyest brother had to go to the hopsicle and now he can't even remembers me and even worser he's acting like a baby, baby!"

I've got to read this now, this just sounds like a beautiful disaster story.

Hipster Rugrats is still the greatest Rugrats fanfic of all time tho

I'm so behind the times I guess, but there's something so odd about reading a piece of literature that's based off a cartoon you watch VISUALLY. I can never get over it.
When I was a little kid, I had chapter books based on SpongeBob episodes. Looking back, it was so strange since it was basically the episode in book format. But since it was written and not shown, it had none of the visual jokes of the show.

This is just weirder since it's also fan fiction about fucking Rugrats that's also trying to be serious. So you've already got a disconnect because it's based on a cartoon, and also because the person writing it took it way too seriously.

That page is mostly a mix of popular opinion and salty tropers wanting to sperg about characters they hate. Some characters who are widely hated (i.e. Marie from Persona 4) are not even on that page
They appear to be removing several examples, which strangely includes almost universally hated characters on that site like Tingle and Slippy Toad.

Selective choosing really is a bitch. Imagine if someone put Doug Walker on that page.

All I know is that someone with a hateboner for tsunderes kept on putting Chie on there

Let's look at some examples of what tropers consider "awesome" "art"
  • The Archie Sonic the Hedgehog series has some pretty epic art in the earlier stories, and even now has a decent amount.
  • While the character art from Touhou is often debated, the background art from Mountain of Faithis absolutely gorgeous, and the background art from Ten Desires is just well-animated all around.
RWBY has this and Awesome Animation, given this is Monty Oum. Each episode in later volumes ends with proudly shown concept artwork of the characters that were most prominent in that episode, and that's not saying anything about the superb animation quality in the fight scenes, and in general in later volumes.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic uses an older version of Flash animation to create a wonderful and detailed world with great backgrounds and colorful character designs in what can only be described as a massive Sugar Bowl of awesomeness.
  • Steven Universe: An early indicator of the series' general animation quality is the beach scene in "Laser Light Cannon," which features a gorgeous wash of peach and orange across the entire screen as the sun sets. This was in the series' second episode. The colorful, expressive character designs and hand-painted backgrounds at times look absolutely stunning.
  • The Loud House: The backgrounds look just like they came right out of a comic strip.
And of course, I just got bombarded with autism. Bonus fail points for not mentioning Looney Tunes, as well.
