Or you know, They didn't bring it up in the Japanese 2D games because there was next to no dialogue to begin with, and with an equal lack of NPCs. But sure, keep deluding yourselves into thinking you're "OMG SO PROGRESSIVE!", and ignore how the Spanish-developed Samus Returns does the same thing, or how Retro Studios didn't really do what they were claiming to begin with. Fuck this re.tarded """"trope"""".

This is not "scantily clad", you stupid motherfuckers.
You're just angry because you stupidly think that having an athletic build is "OMG SEXIST!", and that women should only be portrayed as fat and gross landwhales.
Oh wait, never mind, you get butthurt (TRIGGERED!) over that too. My bad!
Oh fuck, I forgot that MercurySteam was from Spain. Though honestly, Samus Returns is much better than Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (a previous game that they developed). But everything TVT says is pure bullshit.

Do they still love Joss Whedon or is he persona non-grata after his wife accused him of being a sexist pig hiding behind his "feminist" bonafides for decades? It's kind of seemed like the Joss Whedon worship in nerd circles has been dying rapidly for a while (even before the accusations, he hasn't written anything decent since the first Avengers movie)

EDIT: I think he was able to coast on his status as an ally who writes "strong female characters" for a while but once the social justice zeitgeist switched to "there's all these marginalized creators out there who want to write stories but the so-called liberal FUCKING WHITE MALES won't let them!!" he was a sitting duck, I mean for fuck's sake just look at the guy. Plus younger nerds getting past the hype and realizing actually his shows were pretty shitty for the most part, like no 16 year old is going to go back to watch Buffy the fucking Vampire Slayer no matter the importance it once held in the nerd community. The stuff with his wife was the final straw, it lets SJWs go back and claim all this time he was no true Scotsman.

I don't know, but what is the worst of those ideas?
Using Vanilla Ice as an example of a 'rival'.

DIO aside, Polnareff's own issues with Hanged Man was done and dusted in his debut fight and Hol Horse wasn't really a rival. Akira's fight focusing on Josuke might be an issue, but Okuyasu still finished it.

Too cute to be scary.

I mean, it's hard to be scared of anything in Animal Crossing unless you're some sort of turbo-wimp who shits their pants at almost everything, but with most Nightmare Fuel examples you could at least make an argument that they could unsettle small children or something. This is the first time I've read an example which has left me scratching my head at how it could be scary unless you're a low-functioning autist.

The irony of a website like TVTropes, with users that jack off to preteen girls in spandex and complain that it's unfair their shitty loli animes are never nominated for the Oscars, having a page called Paedo Hunt, complete with a discussion page with a guy who's totally not a pedo trying to convince you he totally hasn't fondled kids before:

On an unrelated note, there's also a Pornomancer page, in the classic TVT tradition of trying to file everything they jack off to under a trope:

The fact is that they used to have an even more blatant page called "All Pedophiles are Child Molesters" -- the idea being that fictional works "misrepresent" pedophilia, to the detriment of those of us poor oppressed tropers who "merely" jack off to animated kiddie porn.

The page has been cut but the discussion remains.

Oh, THAT page.

It started out with a, on paper, good idea, pointing out having the DESIRE to have sex with kids doesn't mean everyone with said desire has acted on it.

Of course, this is TV Tropes, so it turned into a very big dumpster fire of pedo apologists and pedo haters using the page to have autistic gladiator matches until they shitcanned it.

Different topic, but it's still another stupid thing worth laughing at.

TV Tropes has an official (and rather sensible) policy (it's not exactly written down, but still enforced like it was) of denying trolls any sort of attention, figuring that by starving them of any and all attention, their antics will has as little effect as possible disrupting the entire site.

Can't say I disagree, honestly, good bit of common sense, especially for loons like Nate and the autistic morons who still have gladiator contests over the Complete Monster pages.

Thing is, though, enforcing it has to remain unofficial in a sense because TV Tropes realize if they made "don't feed the trolls" an explicit policy, the trolls would then redouble their efforts towards starting as much drama as humanly possible to spite them, so they enforce this policy passively and discreetly, like PMing idiots to stop feeding the trolls, vanishing drama monger conversations to get the point across, and otherwise enforcing the "be nice" policies with a heavy hand.

For the most part, this does work, as the mass majority of people Nate has tried to flame tend to ignore his crazy ass, and most other shit slingers also tend to get quietly gassed, to use a Something Awful term.

However, the policy is a failure in two respects: Because it's not official and cannot be without handing the trolls an excuse to make their jobs harder, the mods come off as massive dicks at times because they can't point everyone to a written down rule to cut that shit out aside from their generalized "be nice" policies.

Second, just take one look at the dumpster fire that is their forums to see why a policy that has some usefulness on the wiki is practically useless there.

Did they even read the fucking manga?
I think a lot of people that get nitpicky about Jojo (and a lot of manga in general) forget how a lot of shonen serialization is done week by week for that week. The reason for a lot of Araki’s mistakes or strange choices in writing (“why did Avdol almost die but then come back?”, “why didn’t they use hermit purple to find Kira in part 4?”) can be attributed to the “fly by the seat of your pants” nature that a lot of manga is written with.
I once talked to someone on a Discord server who claimed to have a phobia of one specific brand of vacuum cleaner..
Are you sure this was a person and not a cat with impeccable typing skills?

Avdol was supposed to die and have Hol Horse take his place in the team, but Araki brought back Avdol due to fan demand. Also, Joseph's a 79 year old senile man in Diamond is Unbreakable, though considering this is Joseph Joestar we are talking about, the senility could have been an act. Also, only parts one through six are weekly shonen, as parts seven and eight are monthly seinen.
