The other way to fix the Pantheon is if the characters assigned to being gods of certain tropes were actually notable characters outside of anime and stuff. Like if they used characters who are either the codifier of tropes or are the most commonly though of to regular people.

15 pages back, that's essentially my take on the Trope Pantheons.

There'd be less fanwank in my take on the Pantheon, as they would mostly be from classic literature, films and media. I'd pick characters who made those tropes popular and commonly-used in the first place (Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, etc) over insert husbando/waifu/fap material here to be used for masturbation shrines.

The Pantheon tales would be less fapfic and more actual well-written crossovers with meaningful interactions other than sharing the same seiyuu or traits or whatever. Characters will be written about as they are, without white knighting/whitewashing (looking at you, ChrisX).

^ Ah! Sorry, didn't realise. I guess the belief that the Pantheon if it were to be good, should focus on actual notable characters must be common.

As I have nothing better to do I did a scan of all of the heroes pages and for what ever reason Tragic Hero was missing. How could they miss one of the oldest types of heroes, going back to the plays of Ancient Greeks. I think I might actually start on the spreadsheet tonight.

No joke, before I've had read the Project AFTER Editorial on TV Tropes, GethN7's blogposts on just how corrupt the mods are and how shitty the content there is at general and especially the Trope Pantheons (which I unironically enjoyed and get updated on in the past), I would've still thought of TVtropes as the modern Internet bible and the Trope Pantheons the modern Internet Mount Olympus for fiction.

Even now, I still think about how I legitimately sperged about how Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa didn't make into the Trollkaiger (ChrisX's group for trolls in fiction such as Yuuki Terumi from BlazBlue, Izaya Orihara from Durarara, etc., it's here http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Pantheon/GUAETrollkaiger) all simply because
she used brainwashing anime instead of manipulating people to becoming her followers
.

I can't believe I was this obsessed over poorly-written crossover fanfiction, and I'd like to thank GethN7's blogpost (https://gethn7.blogspot.com/2016/02/i-discuss-valkyrie-drive-mermaid-and.html) for opening my eyes. I know this powerlevel-y, but what was said in a previous page how TVTropes doesn't make you a better writter rang true; even now I'm struggling to come up with words that don't involve mentioning tropes.

So when did you get your autism diagnosis?

Also, seiyuu literally just means voice actor, including for dubbed films, radio, etc. I'm not sure why you're saying it in Japanese.

Perhaps when I decided to take the opinions of those who praise MLP and the Nostalgia Critic to the high heavens seriously.

Initially, when there's this new film, anime, show, whatever that gets released, I always used TVT as a reference/analysis site, where its story elements get packaged into digestible tropes. As someone who's really into writing, I thought I can learn a lot from this site.

You can learn an awful lot about :autism: and how low it can go. Not much about writing, though.

As an aspiring writer, the only thing you need to know about TV Tropes is: tropers can take a story apart, but they can't put one back together.

  • Many detractors of The Mysterious Mr. Enter spout opinions about him that show that they have no idea what kind of reviewer he is. He's a more straight-forward reviewer and not another Nostalgia Critic, even though he's inspired by him, thus saying he's not funny enough, or that his anger isn't played for comedy, is entirely a moot point because that's not how he carries himself in his reviews. One review on I Md B even thought he was supposed to be this and his channel was just another web review show not meant to be taken seriously, and even said that he sounded legitimately angry, which he was, so thinking his reviews are meant to be like the Nostalgia Critic is not only missing the point entirely, but not even aiming for the right target.
LOL, that's the exact reason why people hate him, taking cartoons too seriously.
But hey, it's okay TV Tropes, just keep telling yourself how anyone that dislikes Mr. Enter is wrong for thinking that, maybe if you do it enough, we might just disappear, and not giving us more ammunition.
Like it hell it would!

Mostly, they're pissed off at Count Jackula for being a Goobergraper and for not believing in trigger warnings.

You mean they're actually getting a beef with the one innocent guy in all of this but the rapist and his enablers (Doug, Lindsay, etc) go Scott-free?

Fuck TvTropes.

Sounds typical of TVTropes. Then again, when autism is rampant in the community, you are sure to pull some idiots.

Tgwtg thread had someone say Linkara was right wing. Well, that's about all you need to understand the tvtrope's understanding of the political compass.
