That's funny, because it's shaping up to be the exact opposite.

nah they'd probably still listen to himthey won't listen until Doug rapes and murders somebody
You severely underestimate the brand loyalty of :autism:. Remember that Tropers are the same people who called Doug Waker "The Ace" and "Mr. Fanservice".they won't listen until Doug rapes and murders somebody
More proof that TVTropes is a dumpster fire. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TransgenderFetishization
While Kid Icarus Uprising is a good game, the amount of work put into those pages is stupidly large.http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising
I'm linking the entirety of their Kid Icarus: Uprising pages, because, hoo boy, that game really made Tropers cream themselves when it came out.
It doesn't help that their reasons for liking the (admittedly great) game shows just how shallow they are, which I will explain through these bullet points. While Kid Icarus Uprising is a good game, the amount of work put into those pages is stupidly large.

In fact, if all you know about Kid Icarus: Uprising comes from TV Tropes, you'll be forgiven for mistaking it for some obnoxious Joss Whedon-tier unfunny wank fest. It goes to show that Tropers are SHIT at convincing anyone that something they like is good, even if the work in question actually is good (and not stupid shit like MLP and Channel Autism).
- "OMG LAMPSHADE HANGING!" (in reality, the game rarely does this kind of humor, instead going for references to other Nintendo series (a staple of Nintendo), and breaking the fourth wall (done by too many games to keep track of). In fact, the only media that goes full lampshade are fanfiction and other shit written by hack frauds.
- "The voice acting is AMAZING!" (The voice acting actually is pretty good, but they seem to think it's entirely because it's voice actors they recognize, instead of unknowns like what Nintendo usually does. And recognizable voice actors =/= great voice acting, especially since of them (Viridi in particular) are far more unpleasant to listen to than any of the cast of Super Mario Bros and Star Fox.)
- "The characters are full of depth and personality!" (This isn't really true at all, the characters in Uprising have about as much personality as any other Nintendo character, it's just that TV Tropes thinks "wacky commentary = SO MUCH PERSONALITY!")
welcome to the clubIf your story goes meta when it comes to the tropes featured in your story, has recognizable voice actors that also voice your husbandos/waifus/favorite characters, and characters making wisecracks/fourth-wall jokes/references/etc, rest assured it will be a darling of TV Tropes.
And this is coming from someone who, just three years ago, treated the word of TV Tropes as gospel truth.
That Guy with the Glasses:
- Come to think of it, The Nostalgia Critic would lose some of his Pretty Boy appeal if he took off the baseball cap and got a proper suit instead of a seriously rumpled one.
- The Nostalgia Chick as well. Watch that bit in the Second Year Anniversary trailer where her hair is messed up. She's particularly unkempt at the start of Kickassia (that is, until she turns into a Sarah Palin clone).
- In the same vein, fully groomed and dressed up, the Spoony One is at most only dorkishly handsome, but during most of his videos when he's looking slightly scruffy both his sexy and Moe count jumps up significantly.
- MarzGurl as well, looks like she only occasionally combs her hair, and wears T-shirts that look like they might have just come out of the hamper.
- He's nowhere as sexualized as the Critic or Ask That Guy, but Chester A. Bum still has Doug's big blue eyes and dimply smile, an accessible layer of dirt on his face, and the added bonus of being a Woobie Keet.
- Already beauties, but both Donnie and Rebecca fall into the trope for the last few episodes of Demo Reel. Donnie is kidnapped and left to die in the forest so steadily gets dirtier and more stubble (a whole lot of crawling by Doug too, for that bonus), and Rebecca gets drunk with Tacoma and ends up wearing a baggy t-shirt with her hair all messed up.
What the fuck is this autism?this people need restraining orders
What the fuck is this autism?
Christ, now that's a word that should never be associated with CA."Unkempt Beauty"
The dicksucking never ends. Channel Awesome will go defunct and they will keep sucking their dicks."nowhere as sexualized as the Critic"
I know tropers find things like cartoon horses sexy, but thinking goofy autists are sexualized?
Times change, so do people. No joke, before I've had read the Project AFTER Editorial on TV Tropes, GethN7's blogposts on just how corrupt the mods are and how shitty the content there is at general and especially the Trope Pantheons (which I unironically enjoyed and get updated on in the past), I would've still thought of TVtropes as the modern Internet bible and the Trope Pantheons the modern Internet Mount Olympus for fiction.
Even now, I still think about how I legitimately sperged about how Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa didn't make into the Trollkaiger (ChrisX's group for trolls in fiction such as Yuuki Terumi from BlazBlue, Izaya Orihara from Durarara, etc., it's here http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Pantheon/GUAETrollkaiger) all simply because.she used brainwashing anime instead of manipulating people to becoming her followers
I can't believe I was this obsessed over poorly-written crossover fanfiction, and I'd like to thank GethN7's blogpost (https://gethn7.blogspot.com/2016/02/i-discuss-valkyrie-drive-mermaid-and.html) for opening my eyes. I know this powerlevel-y, but what was said in a previous page how TVTropes doesn't make you a better writter rang true; even now I'm struggling to come up with words that don't involve mentioning tropes.
Up until now, there are occasional relapses over my TVTropes obsession, primarily involving Junko and the Trollkaiger.Times change, so do people.
The reason why I take the Trope Pantheons seriously is that it can actually turn out good - if the contributors put more effort in creating good crossover stories involving the characters they already have instead of just assigning more Trope titles to more characters to fill out stubs. The Pantheon, though, as Geth says, is nothing more than a colossal tumor of fanwank and sperging.
