I'm adding this here to say I personally disagree with not talking about my critics, it only makes their dissent seem more valid, but I respect TV Tropes' stance on this topic and urge others to do the same.
Why I say that is two-fold.
1. Fast Eddie just couldn't handle any negativity whatsoever, and was very immature in dealing with it. Even without him though, they just believe pages on their critics cause more problems than they solve, and to their credit, they aren't entirely wrong, as while ED and FNTVT had valid points, they did a lot of bashing simply to shit on TV Tropes as well, and while ATT and it's staff (myself included) are willing to deal with that, TV Tropes does not wish to, and it's their site, so I will not protest their decision and urge others to respect TV Tropes does things their way, and if you don't like that, there are alternatives.
2. In it's current state, I doubt TV Tropes could even handle their critics. Given the sheer amount of issues they have just keeping their userbase under control from problems they already deal with, having discussions about people who actively despise tropers would just make the problems of the moderation harder, so part of this is to spare the sanity of the guys who tard wrangle TV Tropes, and now that I've had their job for awhile, I must disagree with their reasons philosophically, but I understand and sympathize with not wanting more autistic screeching to deal with.
