There's Haruhi Suzimaya again! Is that seriously the only anime that ever existed according to these people?

TV Tropes has revolved around a bunch of shows they tout like they are the coolest thing since sliced bread then they proceed to run their love for them into the ground and dig out massive caves with it.

Having watched Haruhi, I'm not surprised that show is one of TV Tropes tired hobbyhorses, it's :autism: :The Anime.

No, but apparently it having a 'god' character means it all goes back to that.

I miss 2005.

You'd have to have :autism: to endure the Endless Summer season.

  • eCockpit89: Seth Green must have some irrational hatred of the Mario franchise, because all of the sketches involving it suck. The one that made me swear off the show for good, however, was the most recent one, called "Mario Party". The only good thing in it was the fact that Mario and Luigi didn't get brutally murdered at the end. But the reason it sucks so badly? It's not the sketch itself, which was just as unfunny as any other Mario sketch on the show. It's because they use a lot of toys of the Mario characters that I know for a fact are fake. Counterfeit toys on Robot Chicken. What. The. Fuck. I'd expect this sort of thing from The Irate Gamer, not someone who claims to be a lover of action figures and has an actual TV show. Y'know what, Seth Green? You can go take all those fake products you bought for this, and shove them all where the sun don't shine!

...I think using counterfeit toys might have been part of the joke. Jesus Christ.

I do: "Tropers take Family Guy more seriously than necessary, Hell, even Seth MacFarlane himself said the show was one of those 'do-anything-for-a-laugh' type of shows. Ditto Robot Chicken, though that's kind of expected since that's a sketch show. I think Tropers hate Robot Chicken because it 'ruins their childhood,' yet the fanfiction and fanart they write, draw, and post online -- especially if they try to make it 'edgy' and 'adult' -- is worse."

Tropers really need to learn what a parody is, but by this point, they're so infected with autism they would just immediately forget what they learn.

Ah, the social justice.

What the fuck, what is the relation with a character not even fucking dying and the actor who previously played him being gay? It's not like the movie implied he died of AIDS or something.

And Trini is a hot as fuck chick, she is the one making the community look like a bunch of freaks and not the myriad of fatass GOJIRAAA looking trannies?

On South Park...
  • They really enjoy taking the piss out of media celebrities, but often they just have them appear on the show, ridicule them by letting them say or do stuff that has virtually nothing to do with their real-life personas and to top it all off they usually murder them in gruesome fashions, much like an angry child who draws an unflattering and infantile doodle of a teacher he's angry about.
Apparently they never seemed to have realize that's the entire point. From the opening disclaimer...
All characters and events in this show -- even those based on real people -- are entirely fictional. All celebrity voices are impersonated....poorly.
They really do have absolutely no self-awareness, at all.

Like, I get why the trope exists (to point out how poorly writers parody things ala Seltzerberg). But South Park proves that there's just some things the site is better off not having if they get offended this easilly.
