Okay I actually have some sympathy for that second example because pandemic or not the last thing a healthy person wants is to be surrounded by sick people.

Liquid concrete is downright caustic, people can and have been scarred and blinded from contact with exposed flesh. The fact that they both claim the allegations were totally false, that it somehow was still harmless, and that the victim deserved it is a particular low point for real life tropes.

I honestly didn't expect them to know anything about dealing with masonry. Since the average person's actual experience with it is some cartoon character harmlessly being extracted from an pile of quickly hardening cement.

In fact, there's probably an filler news article about someone being scarred from being immersed in liquid cement

The only reason Tropers see this as a good thing is because the people who did it were lefties at a right winger. If it was the other way around, they'd treat it like the assault that it is.

Nobody's saying it isn't assault. They're saying police are taking blatant lies at face value. Right-wingers tell the police the cups are cement, and the police tell the media that it's cement.

So, I'm not the biggest Star Wars nerd in the room. But when exactly was it shown that Leia was Force-sensitive aside from that telepathy nonsense in Empire Strikes Back? And no, the newer set of media doesn't count.

dude i swear, i am so fucking tired of hearing about leia tbh. so fucking tired. mara jade is right fucking there. having an assassin try to kill luke then they become lovers over time is much more interesting than anything other than potentially the original script thing or whatever tf of luke going too early, failing, then leia becoming the Real Hero.

almost any (old) star wars book i ever remember reading about han, leia, their kids, etc, was all better than the new media and character interpretation. the boba fett children books continuing from post clone wars was kino as fuck. soooooo many characters and plots were wasted, especially all the luke animu tier shit that was only sort of hinted at in the last movie duel they did. the entire emperor returns shit was better in the book plot, especially stuff like the way he was fully killed for good was a jedi force ghost following him, grabbing him, and "kamikazing" him out of existence fully essentially.

i remember first seeing the new movie announcements and assuming they'd follow ANY FUCKING BOOK, ANY FUCKING DAY NOW, and instead it was just fever dream rip offs of the original trilogy, and then "nigga let's turn every modern day google slop image into jedis and make an entire sub franchise that's infinitely worse than jedi academy"

all the fucking female characters in the lore, and they stuck with "IM SO FUCKIN GREY ISNT GREY AWESOME I LOVE GREY GREY IS THE TRUTH" fanfic oc powered ahsoka and head canon'd leia. you could have made their entire current franchise just following "the good books" nearly 1:1 and they'd have been better, capitalized fully and truthfully on nostalgia, and had the biggest fucking fan boners. mara jade was a fucking built in girl boss. darth talon also, etc. fuck, kreia even. ANYTHING OTHER THAN REY AHSOKA AND LEIA
