Checked on an old edit I made, it was removed and the only note was "Character reaction." Do they not realize how unhelpful that is? Why do I need to talk to a committee to add something to a page?

Shin Godzilla sees the Japanese government oppose foreign countries nearly obliterating their capital with nuclear hellfire. How dare they challenge globalist suzerainty! This is literal Nazism!

I think it’s referring to this line in the trope page.
Also, character reactions cannot qualify under this trope, as real people's emotional and psychological responses to a situation vary wildly. We can't say any response is necessarily unrealistic in fictional scenarios, and not even the character's author can know such things.

The Maduro glazing is fucking absurd. Narcoterrorism has been a known phrase for decades at this point, and claiming it was made up on the spot alongside allegations of the Maduro regime propping up cartels for political purposes just feels cartoonish in its efforts to downplay the shit commies pull in Latin America.

Yeah, I uh got it sorted. Turns out the guy doesn't know what words mean.
Jannies have caught wind of the recent abduction, so now that's another thread locked and a second on suicide watch

Ok,now that's retarded
They might as well just lock the entire forum at this point. You cannot wall off reality when it comes a-knockin. Either we can discuss serious politics like adults or we can't, it's all or nothing.

What happened? What incident are you talking about?
El Presidente de Venezuela has been "abducted" by the Green Berets during an American military operation and has been brought before an American court to.face several charges related to narcoterrorism. Leftists are shitting themselves over this, and the fact that an famous revolutionary's tomb had an bomb dropped on it.

It's explained in the second link, but the gist of it is that Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads had to be locked and the approval process is effectively frozen since it was getting too autistic and the users involved in said threads, mostly the regulars, acting insular and unfriendly towards newbies despite already being told to knock it off by the mods before the lock.

A rare instance of the mods using their powers for good but they need to take the kid gloves off and start making examples of the circlejerking faggots instead of just locking everything down.

Back to the Venezuela stuff, it's just really funny to me that the US Politics ban also extends to military action. No one's allowed to talk about Big V anymore because it's now impossible to avoid mentioning Trump. And that's all it is: Trump. It makes me wonder, if the US attacked any other country would they have to lock that thread too? Just proceed like that forever?

Technically, yes. But it looks like it also applies to anything that involves an large amount ambiguity or it has an strong bipartisan presence surrounding it. Although it would be hilarious if that ban spread to places like Ukraine.
