This troper also mentions working for the image on the "flag tropes" page, which has a very blatantly shoehorned tranny flag...

It's a gacha game about anime horse girls. Shut the hell up, trannies!

It’s genuinely concerning that the person writing this believes there are little-to-no side effects of women undergoing HRT. It’s best to not encourage women to die of heart disease in middle age and at some point needing a full hysterectomy due to their completely atrophied uterus and ovaries. Testosterone is not just some magic injection that makes your gender feel valid and literally nothing else.

So some legal shit is happening with Warner Bros. and the "no American politics" bit is potentially getting in the way of openly discussing it
As expected. Turns out a blanket ban on US politics means we can't discuss big boy issues when they inevitably crop up.

Edit: Potentially nothing, they're just outright knocking anyone trying to bring it up.

Fucking Fighteer is still a mod and I am always shocked by that. Who the fuck gets fired and then immediately gets their job back just to do the same shit he was fired for? Actual lmao

Why do they complain about being pestered like it's not their fault for lazily refusing to communicate with the user base?

TVT Mods are worse than Reddit mods when it comes to power trips. They act like they're gods that should never be questioned. Kory and Fighteer shutting down all the discussion as if it's actually over and not clearly a big issue that a lot of people want to talk about is just bad site moderation.

I do think the autism thing can't be understated.

If you look up the Sally-Anne test, it's basically a way to see if someone can realize that other people can or might think differently from them. Ironically with all their talk about trying to get new users onto TVTropes, it doesn't seem to occur to the mods that if new users come in, they will NOT know all the background, lore, and site culture that the mods do. So you would either need a FAQ or page or something explanatory that any new arrival can be pointed to to get them up to speed, or you would have to keep answering questions daily.

I guess better to thump folks and then wonder why in the world you don't see any site growth...

Obligatory reminder that they hate grotesque comedy because it isn't woke (among other things)

Unnecessary reminder that most of their FAQ pages are giant walls of texts that are filled with the site's jargon and it's also missing the very important disclaimer that the site heavily favors leftists.

Anyways, so get this. Someone actually got banned from DMs over an "get a job" joke. And it was just a link to an job application that left the local autists scratching their heads over the intent of it.

Page for Reviews Are The Gospel trope not only puts its RealLife examples under WebVideo and WebOriginal, but tries to retcon reality by claiming certain shit media, like Star Wars prequels, only started being hated after a big-name reviewer shit on them.
Well it's a bit more complex than that. The prequels were fairly well recieved when they came out but years of internet anti-hype is what led to the idea that they are some of the worst movies ever. The RLM reviews were treated as gospel for years and more or less indirectly caused the Sequel trilogy, which is worse by every metric. That's not the say the prequels weren't bad but the reviews did objectively have a huge impact on public opinion.

Didn’t both Young Anakin and Jar-Jar get brutally mocked because everyone hated them? Granted, I think being industry unknowns also played a part (I don’t see anyone making fun of Count Dooku make a poopoo), but they wouldn’t have gotten so much vitriol if they were in something good.
