I had to check the current state of that "project" and dear God the userbase has gotten more retarded and the characters they shit out are worse.
 
I'm looking over the changes to the review system and while they're objectively good (rating scale, view counts, upvotes, ability to disable comments(although only pussies do this)), it's really sad that it took them until 2025 and their userbase drying up to even consider modernizing a part of the website they've had for a decade.

I can blame them for being so pathetically lazy as to have nothing about their alleged biggest trope after a whole year. But would you know it, the monstertards made their own site with blackjack and hookers, where it seems they learned no lessons from how their smarmy self-righteous passive-aggressive attitudes got them booted.

The character Charlene is like 10, so I'll let that speak for itself. But Xochi is the exact opposite because she was actually putting butts in chairs to watch it since V&V just, like, wasn't popular at all. The minute they turned her into a dyke, interest in the show cratered. This happens all the fucking time in modern cartoons, they design one attractive character, make them gay, and then no one cares about the show anymore. Once again, Tropers are just outright lying.

According to Wikipedia there were three but the timing was all kinds of weird - pilot in 2016, season 1 from March-October of 2019, season 2 from April of 2020 to May of 2021, then a third and final season from September of 2021 to August of 2022. All three seasons took breaks as well - season 1 was off the air for all of September 2019, season 2 took summer of 2020 and November 2020-March 2021 off, while season 3 was on hiatus from December 2021-February 2022 then again from mid March through May of 2022. (ETA) There were other, smaller oddities as well like just skipping a week, multiple episodes premiering the same day, and episodes premiering on back-to-back days.

So in short you might have mistaken a gap between seasons for a mid-season break, or a mid-season hiatus for the series ending.

ETA: Is this kind of schedule normal for Cartoon Network? My first reaction when I saw the intermittent weeks off/multiple episodes in a single week was that the creators couldn't meet a one episode / week target and my second reaction was that Cartoon Network had so little faith in the show that it had an episode in hand . . . but still gave the slot to something else.

In that sense, literally everything is a deconstruction and the term is an innately meaningless term that just means "My reaction". Man would it be great if that attitude was adoted wholesale and we could execute anyone who didn't get aboard via firing squad.

The problem with that SomethingAwful thread is that first off, it's well over 10 years old so a lot of the shit they were ragging on just isn't happening anymore. Secondly, it was full of people who think being into nerd shit at all makes you a weirdo pedophile. It's a relic of it's time. It had some real bangers in it though, until the mods randomly decided to lock it forever.
