The shitty anime actually happened though.I don't know 'bout that. Most people wouldn't compare a shitty anime with the death of 7+ million people in Nazi Germany during WWII.

But killing yourself over people telling you your fanfic sucks?
That's apparently not actually true, though. It's the fans of this fanfic of a fanfic who thought that might happen.
Even the guy autistic enough to write a fanfic of a fanfic longer than War and Peace was relatively chill about negative opinions.
According to that project AFTER thread he's a high school English teacher and apparently so suicidally depressed any criticism of his fanfic will cause him to off himself.
I know this isn't the most significant point to take away from this but: all things considered, why did he choose English teacher as his job? For high schoolers no less? Cthulhu help him if his students find out about his fanfic.
Letting a hugbox drag you away is even more pathetic than being an active participant in your own hugbox. He seemed to be too depressed to care. He didn't even think much of his own weaponised autism.
An addendum: This neglects all the "recap" pages, work pages for the individual episodes, in which they list all the "tropes" appearing in the episode. Some of those have their own subpages, too, with YMMV and whatnot. So the word count would actually be well above 580,000. Unfortunately, even I'm not autistic enough to go through every single fucking one of these.Because I'm probably more autistic than they are, I decided to do the same calculations for The Nostalgia Critic since I didn't really need faith in humanity anyway.
580,333 words. 580,333 goddamn words.
Here's some comparisons, to give you an idea of just how unnecessarily long and thorough this all is (with pictures to illustrate how this shit would look as an actual book):
Gone With the Wind: 418,053 words
Stephen King's IT: 444,414 words
The entire Lord of the Rings series: 550,147 total words
Atlas Shrugged: 561,996 words
War and Peace: 587,267 words
A Suitable Boy (no picture for this one; couldn't find one): 591,554 words
And because I'm already sperging hard here, the character of the Critic himself has multiple subpages devoted to all of his tropes, too. 40,122 words.

...hold the fuck up. They have recap pages of the nostalgia critic's """review""" episodes?
Thwy should be careful, if they suck Doug's dick any harder It's going to drop off.
Is that why Doug's default volume is "Air horn"?I think it dropped off years ago.

How do you become a high school teacher, have a severe depression, and write crappy fanfictions at the same time? The answer as usual. :autism:According to that project AFTER thread he's a high school English teacher and apparently so suicidally depressed any criticism of his fanfic will cause him to off himself.

He talks about his occupation on his Patreon (which of course he has) but it looks like he's looking for different work now.
"Do not remove mentions of rape culture from this page. Doing so will invite editing suspensions." Huh, seems a bit heavy handed. What do they say about it when someone (IE: Me, as they only put this up after suspending me) wants to get their editing power back?
Threatening me with a ban if I don't toe the party line, and explicitly saying I only get one shot at not getting a perma-ban. Funny, because this was my first suspension for an account pushing half a decade in age. As you can see, I decide to swallow my pride (And Fighteer's flacid length) and just go on to ass-kissing mode for this.
Remember deadbeatloser's post for future reference: "We don't take kindly to agenda based editing like that." I know they say "editing" but considering how the number of people who go on these forums that aren't just waiting in line to get their suspensions revoked can be counted on one hand, and how they still are ideological as fuck... we'll just apply that to the forums as well.
Fighteer probably realises here that the last thing he needs is me pointing this hypocrisy out and decides to go from threatening me with a ban to praising my "history as a valued contributor."
This was on the same damn page as "We don't take kindly to agenda based editing like that." What's Fighteer doing? Pushing an agenda based ideology, and being a real prick about it if I may say so myself.
Again, ON THE SAME DAMN PAGE as deadbeatloser's post where they stress that they don't like agenda based editing. I know mods have forever had different rules that they apply between themselves and the average user, but it's getting a bit insane given that they're not even waiting until the next page before pushing ideologies.
In which TVTrope's mods push an ideological bias on the Jessica Jones page, threatening suspensions, and then have the gall to claim that they're not fond of ideological posts.
