Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon is extremely notorious in part because of this. It tried to simultaneously be a drama and a shock comedy that takes every single vulgar, offensive and tasteless joke Up to Eleven, and failed at both. The drama was too ludicrous and forced for the mainstream, and even if it wasn't, they would have still been turned away by the depravity and overall grossness. Meanwhile, the comedy crowd didn't find any of the jokes funny. Unsurprisingly, this led to its extremely short run.

I won't. Close to no one liked it when it was out, either, but they were able to act like adults about it. The only people who really do like it are the diehard John K. fans.

Note that the episode they mention is the one he reviewed, which - prior to him reviewing it - was generally considered the best of the bunch. (The other episodes really are so much worse.)

It's the trigger warning for most of them. I personally never watched it in its entirely, so I can't say a whole lot about it. But what I have seen feels like it's trying to be mature for mature's sake and a lot of it feels forced.

And yet, the only ones who keep bitching about how it "Ruined their lives" are the ones who get easily offended when someone does something "Mean-spirited" (ala Strider, Enter or Tropers) when most people would have forgotten it existed unless brought up in discussion.

Autistic doesn't truly begin to cover it. It's a damn good start, regardless, besides secret obsession/fetishizing, that I'm more than confident some of these folk do for that sake.
 
I read TV Tropes back when FNAF was big, and even back then I thought the series was a lightning rod for autism (though considering the tons of porn people make over it that shouldn't be surprising). The Tear Jerkers in particular were extremely stupid, as we should come to expect at this point considering they treat literally anything with the slightest bit of emotion as the saddest thing ever, but there was this one that still baffles me to this day.

I don't know about you all but this looks more like she's trying to eat my soul than it does a cry for help. Seriously, in what way could this picture be considered sad?

Like the very first trope for himself (and BTW, using tropes to describe yourself is fucking stupid) is Absent-Minded Professor, but then he adds minus the professor part. What's the point of using the trope at all when you disregard the major part of it?

As I said, I think it's probably a joke. Rate me optimistic, but I think the stuff about him having a massive dick and loads of women after him is just too stupid to be serious.
