It's used by hack writers who can barely read past a 9th grade reading level.

Yes, because it comes from Fanfiction and it turns into Fanfiction. But that doesn't mean it's not influential.

When Disney relies on it, it is influential.

And anyone creative is aware of it, regardless of how they use it.

So, another user who's been around for a few years got his first editing suspension, and the jannies still refuse to consider the possibility that it's normal for people to send you an notifier about your editing habits every now and then
That thread is always a source of content but I haven't the strength to go there and withstand the unfiltered cringe for long.

"There is no private discussion. You WILL beg the jannies to forgive you in full view of everyone."

And apparently that Lucasda guy got in trouble for wrongthink about AI

"Endless bickering" doing a lot of heavy lifting here as an excuse

Found this from one of their users talking about Demon Slayer. Guess what they spend the most time complaining about?

They like to wear the trappings of anime fans, but they hate the Japanese so fucking much it's unreal. Forgive me for getting defensive, but there are a lot of manga where the writer actually doesn't know how to handle the females and Demon Slayer is not one of them. This cocksucker was clearly so rattled early on that they chose that criticism and latched onto it despite the myriad of evidence to the contrary.

Like what is that Daki complaint? She is literally a professional prostitute, that's her job. Of course her gimmick is going to be sexual. What the fuck are you talking about?

This looks like the Galbrush paradox in action. I can testify on the "Charles Atlas Superpower" point that slayers go through intensely torturous physical training before they pull off flashy anime moves. There is no energy system like ki/haki/chakra/nen that equalizes everyone's potential. If this jackanape saw female characters get brutalized with bokkens or crushed with boulders (which is sometimes played comically) like the boys they would certainly have a melty over violence against wimminz. Quite the catch-22.

"Internalized misogyny" is such a faggy Newspeak phrase. Women should be allowed to disagree with feminist bullshit without some retard going Sigmund Freud on them.

There's plenty of misogyny in Japanese culture, and plenty of other horrible shit, but a lot of people like to whine about nothingburgers.

Aren’t these the same people who insist that “Sex Work is Real Work/Empowering?”
No one says that anymore. Apparently that narrative only existed for a month before the progressive crowd decided being a whore was bad again. Strangely I think it has something to do with Trump and Melania.

I've still seen people do the "sex work is real work" thing. Like a lot of progressive stuff, I'm pretty sure it has to do with who's saying it about who. A leftist complaining about a fictional female character being a whore? That's okay, they're criticizing writing choices that were probably made because a dirty male writer was sexualizing the character for sexist reasons. Some guy criticizes a real woman for being a whore? Um yikes, definitely an incel who's just mad she's not having sex with him, it's her body she can do as she likes.

At the risk of earning puzzle piece stickers, it's probably also because the IRL negative consequences of such stuff are too blatant to be ignored any longer, even by liberals.
It goes both ways really being an actual "takes money for sex" whore is a very turbulent lifestyle that no one should be romanticizing...but it's also the oldest profession in the world because at the end of the day, men want to get their nut off with no attachments. On the other end there are still people who think you're a whore for showing some ankle or being hot while exercising at a gym. So the mindset is a reaction and it makes some sense, but ultimately I believe a lot fewer people actually believe in it than you'd think. Progs will still use whore as an insult when they're talking to a woman they percieve as bad anyway.
So, an while back, someone was complaining abour why these "discriminatory" page names weren't changed when there's hardly anyone but WarJay and a handful of other users complaining about them. It took Kory roughly two months to give an grounded answer that doeen't mentions how Google prioritizes their search results, for once
You gotta love how this thread is essentially just the ministry of truth. Shit that was okay a few years ago is now offensive because the website is a tranny stronghold.

I remember seeing an documentary or two about this. One of them had a scene where some troons in France were complaining about how they literally can't learn how to do anything else but to whore themselves out. A few of them where trafficked from South America, iirc. The theme of it was that you're supposed to feel sorry for them, but when you're in an industry that will eventually kill you and you aren't trying to get out if it...

That's the general vibe that I get from most of their maintenance threads The only thing that changes is whether or not WarJay is whining about random shit.

This one is so weird. Normally "Fair for its time" is basically "its stereotypes, but not that offensive", this description doesnt make it sound like it. And them the criticism on the actor can really only be used to criticize the Zulu Nation and his duty as a leader, not the film, which had nothing to do with his work.

Its basically the author forcing as much as possible to say "this film is racist"
