What is with these people? Any time there is a same-sex relationship where they spend a lot of time together, care about each other, and have each other's back, that means they're gay? Have these people never heard of friendship before? Does there always have to be some sexual or romantic element to every relationship? It's crazy.
They are damaged people who couldn't hack it in a conventional give-and-take fundamentally-respectful relationships or honest friendships. They asked too much and gave too little, or were so socially off-putting they never got the chance, or were in search of allies and political sycophants, not friends.

So, to them? The only human-on-human contact they can envision or relate to as having any depth? Any value? Any "true" meaning? Is casual and all-consuming sex.

It's all they desire and all they think they'd be able to get.

So, Kory's latest plan to revive the site is to have his army of autists to rewrite the pages for now-deleted Let's Plays under the caveat that they're content creators with an online persona or something. He's actually only doing it because an lot people have linked to those pages over the years, and to do the unholy amounts of autism that the Trope Repair Shop was running off of; an lot of popular shit was deleted over the years and he's just now doing something about it...In the laziest way possible.

And as a giant "fuck you" for anyone who cares, "political-react streamers are the same as actual newscasters."

C.S. Lewis remains undefeated.

Imagine being a friendless porn-addled loser that you see every relationship in terms of sex

This part upsets me most because it has poisoned casual fandom talk. Not even casual fictional friendships are safe from it. A guy friend and a girl friend needing to fuck is already annoying, but somehow the fujoshis are even worse with friendships among male characters. I was there when the Sherlock/Watson thing took off and I genuinely thought the Sherlock show had made them gay, until I watched the show and realized it was just tumblr-style fanfic debauchery.

Don't remind me.

That ship is FUCKING DISGUSTING after some reveals from ConneR's chapter, but they refuse to put that Sagar/Rin (straight ship) is canon, only leaving a "mayyybe but we're not sure teehee". Go figure!

Because you can't be willing to do anything for someone if you don't want to fuck them  (okay, this one does have some sus moments, but come on)
there's so much info in the pages for that game that is completely wrong fuuuuuuuck

It's funny you mention that because, and I never noticed before I checked now, how people were ducking the purge was by relabeling "Let's Play" pages into "Web videos"

As much as Kory is a total asshole and just as much of a problem as the rest of the power mods, I can't hate him too much because every post he makes feels like he is seconds away from calling all these people freaks and autists. He is at the very least self aware that the core userbase on TVT are a bunch of retards with no social skills and no concept of how normal people view their nonsense.

Cannot think of many female examples at all, nor was this even a common historical thing afaik.
I've only heard of the ones for women. But even then, those weren't exactly "an thing" in those times. In fact, they were supposedly relatively more common during the Renaissance and they didn't even exist during the Crusades.

Ironically, Chastity Belts are more of a modern thing. And if I had to guess whatever ones used during the Renaissance were only for noble women, as anyone normal would've just been rape bait for the unwashed masses.
