Just for fun I checked the Seinfeld page if it had any examples of Heartwarming or Tear Jerker moments because I was hoping for some sort of autism over a show explicitly written to have "No hugging, no learning." Of the two tear jerker moments, one was somewhat justified (it was the ending to The Clip Show as Time of Your Life started playing over footage of bloopers and behind-the-scenes material, which to be fair I can sort of see getting worked up over).

The other tear jerker though was extremely autistic.

The Heartwarming moments are also pretty stupid, most of them barely qualifying as "heartwarming." It's like some of these tropers barely see anybody act nice to them so anybody acting evenly slightly kind in a show about terrible people seems heartwarming to them.

Imagine if these spergs watched a show like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Rick and Morty, shows where the protagonists are really horrible people and are fantastic because of said horrible protagonists.

Its Alway Sunny and Rick and Morty seems to be pretty popular on the site, though obviously not to the extent of stuff like My Little Pony.

Yeah, it's kinda strange when they call a blonde, blue eyed latina a "POC" just cause of their surname.

Either that or they start with the "nooo no no your skin is a little more darker than typical european skin, so you can't be white".
Reminds me when SJWs sperged over the fact that there was a Latina character in Big Hero 6 with blonde hair, green eyes, and a light complexion. I wonder if TV Tropes did the same....

When will cartoon spergs learn that not everything is trying to teach a fucking moral?
On the other hand, they complain too when the moral is too obvious. As you expect they have a bizarre term for it: Anvilicious. How the running Looney Toons gag of flattening someone with an anvil became synonymous with "the vague distaste when someone goes out of the way to preach" is better not contemplated.

This is also one of the few "tropes" that don't have ponies in it.

"Anvilicious" was never a good name for the trope. It's too non-indicative of what it's supposed to mean and the reasoning behind the name is really reaching. Even when I read TV Tropes I thought there had to be a better name for overly and obnoxiously preaching a moral to the point it's more annoying than anything.

This is a problem with the site as a whole, up there with 'anime orgasms as examples' and 'people not understanding tropes.' Chances are good a trope will either have an unindicative name (especially to anyone outside the echo chamber that is TV Tropes) or will be misunderstood to the point that the name might as well be meaningless.

"Moral Hammer" or "Hammer of Moral Lessons", perhaps? At least a name that sounds like a D&D magic item is easier understood. Or perhaps do away with the blunt force trauma metaphor and just call it "Soapbox Standing".

Well, at least it's good to know their SJWification hasn't completely overshadowed their line of logic.

Still, whyyy did they need to put in the image as example one of most corrupt presidents in the history of the peruvian government? JFC...
I'm pretty sure having a picture of the least stereotypically Latino politician was more relevant to illustrating the point than his sketchy career.

I dunno, I already imagine some SJW fuckwit will think he's "positive representation of asian latinos uwu", like this swede moron.

The guy in the link said nothing about him being a "positive representation of asian latinos". Quite the opposite, actually
I agree. Fujimori is a terrible person who committed gross human rights abuses. He was the first person who came to mind for me, but that is no excuse and I should have found someone else- sorry.

Thanks for sharing your concerns
Anyways, I don't want to derail this thread into something that has nothing to do with TV Tropes
