Are you seriously dense or just unwilling to acknowledge obvious allegories? Fiona's parents are royalty, and they are blatantly disappointed/angry that she married far below her station to an ogre. The dinner argument might as well have been Harold proclaiming how pissed he was that his grandchildren would be mulatto rednecks and Shrek calling him a cruelly negligent parent that didn't deserve to be in Fiona's life. That theme might not have been as blatant as having a villain spout a Trumpism, but it is still there and probably better than a lot of modern political messaging since it would probably go over most kids' heads.

Yeah, that's also the main talking point about the first movie. In fact, it happens so often that it's not really worth whining about because it's actually accurate and relevant to the plot, for once.
 
Jannies are still pissed at people randomly downvoting TLP because it allegedly prevents the draft from being published. The "problem" is so prevalent that the regulars have started an witch hunt instead of nagging the jannies to fix the problem...Which they actually did by enabling people to rescind their own TLP votes and displaying the voting history. I expect more reeeing from the uaerbase in the near future Especially since WarJay is the one who asked for this.

Being too political for TVT and the schizoposting that comes with it

This is far from the most grievous sin on TvTropes, but it does show how a lot of the userbase isn't actually that good at media analysis. Deconstruction of tropes for Ludwig from Bloodborne.

Whoever wrote these just said the same thing three times because, surprise surprise, Fromsoft games aren't actually that difficult to pick apart.

This Like/Dislike saga is hilarious because it is such a nonissue. No wonder these wimps don't go to reddit if the slightest hint of pushback makes them want mass bannings and full site overhauls to counteract.

There's actually an rule against dropping bombs on the drafts. But it's embedded in one of the harder to find Administrivia pages.
 
So, TLP (where they store drafts for new pages) has an "major" issue with people downvoting shit simply because the old set of guidelines says that they could.

Now, instead of just doing something that as natural as mass downvoting an retarded personal army request like some of our own users do, They've decided to force people to explain themselves on why an random WIP page was downvoted (Turns out that it was an single sentence stub for most of the cases, and WarJay is still being a control freak over it) since this type of behavior is "toxic" and they've litterally changed the rules in the span of two weeks just to shut WarJay up

So, the current policy is to wait before you downvote a draft all because a wannabe janny hates his particular set of responsibilities so we unironically get shit like this.
