The funny thing is that every paragraph afterwards is someone trying to correct him. You can't outright say someone is a dumbass on Tvtropes but you can certainly hint at it.

You know what? That post actually implies that troper who wrote that must have personally knew a pedo or two. Because why else would someone immediately jump to child abuse instead of some variation of murder?

edit: And wtf do they mean by "might go over the head of modern players"? Pretty sure the average Westerner has already seen crossdressing gags in Looney Tunes or whatever, and isn't dumb enough to immediately assume "Gasp, Guybrush is canonically trans??"

Isn’t that normal? Most people (at least in the US) are more likely to know a child molester than a murderer, even if you don’t take schools or churches into account.
