Well well, what a difference. I wonder what could be the cause of that.

Cheating good if gay, I suppose

Everything is good if it's gay, including attempted genocide.

The same James Gunn who made jokes about raping little boys for over a decade? Funny how Marvel fans love to sweep the reason he got fired under the rug. It's not like some edgy jokes he made, his entire brand was just openly being a pedophile.
I've been following him for years, years before he got hired for Marvel, since the days of Slither.

Those pedo jokes aren't even close to the most offensive things he's said. He had a blog where he said and talked about way worse things.

He's always been an edgelord, dudes from the school of troma which is an exploitation production company.

If you think he's a faggot, just call him a faggot and move on.

Meh. I'm not one to virtue signal, I just hate his guts.

People still watch TV?
Watched the Jerry Springer documentary on Netflix (sue me, if I didn't find trash entertaining I wouldn't be here), and got the bright idea to check the TVT YMMV page for the show.

Whadaya know, having the JDL and the KKK duke it out on stage, or having a man who's married to a horse, or a spurned spouse beating the piss out of their SO's mistress, it was all fair for its time! Just turn your brain off and accept it's stupid trash from the 90s!

You know what ISN'T acceptable at all though? Making fun of trannies.

Yes, when I hear a woman is getting married I too immediately assume she's a carpetmuncher.

I have a feeling whoever wrote this was part of the conversation that led to this situation.

On a side note, I came to realize that the Jerry Springer show is basically the ancient predecessor of Kiwi Farms. A place where you watch eccentric nobodies embarrass themselves publicly for your entertainment. It's no wonder why TVTropes doesn't like the show. "THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME!"
Oh God, I remember the golden age of Trash Talk TV. I enjoyed watching talk shows about alien abductions, Bigfoot sightings, and interviews of KKK weirdos and people who thought they were real life vampires. It was one of the best things about being home sick as a kid... watching talk show trash in my room while my parents were completely unaware.
Some of it was blatantly staged, but often times it wasn't, particularly with talk show hosts who pretended to be "real investigative journalism".

I was bummed in the late 90s when it suddenly seemed that trashy talk show hosts like Oprah started sucking celebrity ass instead of interviewing alien abductees. There seemed to be a turning point during the 90s were pointless celebrity worship was ramped up 100x, and you couldn't watch TV for ten minutes without hearing some celebrity platform some trash social justice or environmentalist issue.

One of my other trash favorite memories was watching the 700 Club episode where they talked about freaky gay sex fetishes in graphic detail... The "700 Club" is where I learned what "fisting" was. I want to say the episode might have been made in the early 90s, but it could've been an old rerun. Sometimes the show would come on after my favorite morning cartoons, and I'd cringe watch it and laugh at how weird people on the show were.. buying "sacred anointing oil" and shilling for "Jews for Jesus!"
TV Evangelism is quite a circus act in itself, and made some people very wealthy in the 80s-00s.
Channel 69 public TV, God bless em'!

These people went on Jerry Springer willingly knowing what kind of show it was. Doesn't matter if you were a Nazi, tranny, fag, poor person, stripper, brony, or whatever freak showed up on stage at some point its your own decision to go on the show, get into fights, make an ass of yourself, and get made fun of by the audience. It doesn't matter who you were, if you were stupid enough to go on Springer you deserved all the mockery you got. Its called personal responsibility.

From articles I've read at least the guests on Springer got dinner and a hotel room complementry of the show so they could go sight seeing in Chicago before going on stage to rip their shirts off in a brawl or get some Jerry Beads. If you wind up on Kiwi Farms you're not getting squat except humiliation and potential employers finding out what a pervert or scumbag you are.

Biden was a senator, so I guess he counts. Not sure about Harris.
Biden was a senator since the 70s who was floated as a presidential nominee in 1984 and actually ran in 1988 before he bombed out of the Democrat primaries after getting caught plagiarizing a speech from a British politician.
Hey don't forget he was on Carmen Sandiego

Imagine feeling good over a purely corporate decision. Imagine feeling good and vindicated over a fucking Cracked article.

Imagine taking TVTropes seriously.
They consider Cracked to be a source on par with peer reviewed academic journals despite the fact it was originally a humor website. I would not be surprised if they loved it more as the site became more political and put out more "Super Serious" articles.
